    AI updated... did anyone notice ?

    The singleplayer is fantastic now thanks to the AI changes... You can hear it in the much more dynamic chatter. Like your team telling you they're looking in the wrong place, the hunted marker dissapearing a lot quicker etc... There is now a possibility to play stealthy to create distractions to attack then dissappear even within a small area, hiding from building to building. The AI does not automatically finds you where you hide... I wonder why noone is talking about this and why it wasn't in the patch notes. This AI feels more in line with the Far Cry AI. Thank you so much to the Dev team for taking care of this issue. It makes the game a lot more varied and enjoyable!!!

    I cant tell in tier mode. I get laser beamed without enemies even aiming at me. They just have to look at me for a Magic bullet to shoot my way. Something that makes tier mode boring.

    I was getting all excited reading your post until I got to the point where you mentioned the AI is more in line with the Far Cry AI then it all went to hell again

    LOL, yeah I'm pretty sure, no, positive after the tons of Far Cry 4 I've played, that dem pirates know exactly what direction to look if they so much as hear distant gunfire from you. Personally I don't mind that though, because just like in GRW, as long as you stay out of sight and move your location a bit, they won't find you. GRW's enemy AI were never programmed to see you at all times after detection like many have claimed. Hunted status didn't need to be shorter either. I swear , if some had their way, the enemy would turn around and say "No one's here" as soon as they got to the spot where they heard you. That's not my idea of realistic or challenging.

    @xbl_xtro1,

    These changes that you noticed...... What difficulty level were you playing when you realized the difference? Is it with Tier One activated?

    No change on my end. My AI still gets seen no matter what. Still randomly runs off shooting s...it.

    I'd rather they stay way out in the boonies as I play full stealth.

    I am not playing on tier one I restarted the game after this update and after losing my save last year during a hard drive change. Anyways I've been playing on normal veteran and hardcore to test this all show the same behavior.. There are several ways to test this and I was thinking of making a yt video.. one quick example is to position your team at one end of a group of enemies .. order an assault. They will fight them and not know where you are. So you can pick them off with a silencer from the other side. You can also shoot an enemy without the whole camp instantly becoming aware of your situation. You can place a c4 blow it up and the enemy will investigate the explosion area.. not your position. In close proximity you can kill an enemy even get noticed then go hide in a house nearby and dissapear without going miles away while the enemy resets. I'm noticing a whole lot of new tactical approaches.. maybe on tier one the difficulty and enemy awareness is cranked too high so it's not as obvious.

    I'm talking about enemy AI. Not friendlies. Your team still gets seen as long as you give them a move order that is too close to enemies. However they do fight better.

    This is interesting. I made a video just a few weeks ago showing that the AI make a path to your location when you blow C4. Principally this was to then show the ways you could avoid detection, but I can set up the same scenario and see what happens. I'll post back when i've done it,

    Very interesting. I'll have to see if I can notice a difference if I ever get back to playing this title.
