No it wasn't at all. If you cross the railroad to the backside of the base where that sniper tower is right next to the entrance gate then you can simply SPRINT (zero stealth) from your position outside the gate to Sam.Originally Posted by CarolinaFrog Go to original post
You get the 'tick' 'tick' sound as enemies begin to take notice of you but since you move between cover and buildings you can sprint faster than their detection. Getting inside the base to Sam requires almost ZERO stealth. Just a little bit outside to avoid getting spotted by the sniper and the soldier who is patrolling the gate. But once you are there (two minutes) you can just SPRINT and finish the stealth part of the mission in another ten seconds.
Like this guy here: https://youtu.be/c1TugGqAc58?t=287 except you can sprint ALL the way. You don't have to pause like he did. And, yes, you can do the sprint in tier mode. I did it as a tier 20 guy.
I have yet to survive the second part though. In tier mode it is completely crazy because once Unidad are on alert they rush the building from all sides and will one-shot you before they are even fully up the stairs. There is barely any cover in the room where you are supposed to protect Sam and a chopper will attack too.
What is really annoying is that the game does NOT save once you reach Sam so if you fail protecting him while he is hacking then you have to start all over again outside the base which is EXTREMELY lame.
ESPECIALLY a stealth game should always have proper in-mission saves because it can take a lot of time to reach your objectives and the AI can be unpredictable. The game should ideally have quick save or at the very least checkpoint saves within close proximity so it does not turn into an exercise of repetitive frustration.
Very poor advertising for a new Splinter Cell game since I'm going to have to assume that it would also have no in-mission saves. My interest in a game wasting my time is zero, sorry.
I am hoping I will feel defeated like you at 60, give up and play whatever crap they decide to give me. For now, I will keep fighting to raise the bar that you and the casuals continue to lower. thank you very much for the spoiled brat part, i am sure I am not wise as you are yet... only 6 more years to go.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
Their ideas are always very good, even awesome but their execution is alway lackluster, rushed or over simplistic to the point that even if fun, the annoyances are there and it sucks all the fun out.
Yes, I do do over nit pick but I do so with the intent to get the game to a level that will not require suffering of annoyance to have some fun. What are you bringing to the party? aside from the condescending tones and finding excuses as to why the game is not as bad as almost everyone here seems to think it is
