    ELO changes should not be entirely based on win/loss

    When is ELO change going to reflect more than just a win or loss? Why am I penalized the same when I am being team killed and teammates are throwing or doing poorly? I am not asking to NOT lose points if I do well and lose, but to simply lose less. I understand that it is difficult to gauge in what way someone has been useful on the team, but if a simple check for kills, ASSISTS and deaths was made in comparison to other players in the lobby, as well as a check for team killing and how early you die in a round consistently was implemented then I think it would be a good start in a direction that would more accurately display peoples ranks. This would be good also to help actually match similarly skilled players together, and more likely keep the trolls and team killers to queue with each other.

    The problem being that its a team game. If elo starts being based of kda then ppl are just gonna start picking fraggers and using Rambo style tactics. That'll screw over team play.
    I was about to say that they should base the elo reward/penalty based on your score/kd, but damn youre right. The amount of killstealing, runouts, and spawpeeking would just skyrocket. The same with team killing.

    I think the current situation with elo and ranked is the same as with democracy. Its a bad system, but its the best one we came up with.

    I mean there's really not a system that could actually work for the better cause how do you score a Monty who plays as a living drone or someone using their drone without marking to net kills for his mates. And honestly its gonna end up like that in any game with teams and a ranking sytem. Also you forgot about the repetitive drone scanning all you'd see is red dots everywhere lmao

    Yeah exactly. You dont get points for callouts, and those can win you the whole match if you get teamed up with good valk or mira or anyone smart enough to watch cams when hes dead. And talking about Mira. You get 25(? not sure) points for deploying mirror but some of them can be like a freaking wall not possible to get through. You want to be an immovable object? Set up a good mirror and place jager behind it. Its godlike.

    It's actually a great system, if not perfect, if used as intended, with full teams. That's the problem. The old if it ain't broke, don't fix it applies here... and we have non team players(solo players) who, some for very legitimate reasons, are trying to fix it.

    Well I also think that solo players are not getting the rank theyre (lets say) supposed to get. A solo player can be a gold 1, but in reality his skill is closer to plat 2. That only happens cause he ends up playing some random trolls, or just bad players. But still there is no way to make everyone happy, and recognized.

    It's a team game - so winning with your team to get objectives has more value than racing your teammates to see how many solo-kills you can get.

    Man Morfanos..I may play devils advocate and take the back door into my points( probably why nobody seems to understand me ), but you put this as clear as crystal and straight to it. Good work man.

    I'm beginning to think that we see eye to eye on alotta stuff, so If I happen to drop out of the race early I'd like to see you carry my flag for me. Of course you'd have to be crazy to do it, im just sayin..

    Bollocks, compete and utter bollocks.

    I've gone from Gold 3 to Copper IV, It accept some of it is down to my own miscalculation but a lot of those losses were due to, rage quitters, tk'ing, glitchers and hackers. and no matter how times I report them it doesn't make a damn difference because regardless of how well I play, I LOSE OUT!

    I could carry my team with 1 or 2 kills but I still get punished massively if we lose by any margin -73 for a loss this afternoon then +23 for winning the next round. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE, WHERE IS THE BALANCE AND WHAT IS THE POINT!
