The M16 was free for PvP on top of the unlockable class. To use it in PvE, you need to shell out 20 bucks.
Now with the same manner as the M16, the SC4000 is free again for PvP.
Dev, please explain to me the reason behind this. Rightfully speaking, I didn't buy this game to sign up in the Ghost War PvP Funding Program for sure. Hence frankly speaking, when I read the details in your website, I'm once again disgusted.
Now if you wanna be fair, instead of getting Themed Patch or something minor, the gun(s) should have been a reward for completing the mission - or at the very worst case, as timed exclusive reward, shouldn't it?
I'm awaiting for the answer - for the second time.
Thank you.
I never bothered to look up GW so I don't know how the unlocks work there, but my thought on this is that while weapons are gimmicks for the main campaign - in the sense of you have 90+ of them, no limitations which unlocked one your character can use, while GW has class based selections.
In other words - while weapons & equipment are just up to the players preferences and the missions & world are the main gameplay in the campaign, the classes & weapon access / flavor are the main espect of GW. Ubisoft doesn't limited the players to access basic gameplay elements by hidding it behind paywalls only cosmectic or 'additionals' that don't effect balancing between players. So while the M16 and the SC gun are key elements of their respective GW classes, for the main campaign they are just unimportant options for players to expand their armouries. I could also be completely wrong here.
I don't really care about not having access to those 2 as I never paid for them, but I understand why people who owned FG complained about PvP having access back then, while PvE (who actually paid for them) were excluded.
Tbh, if they want to be fair while still selling them, the Ghost War classes could go with M4 instead of M16 and a suppressed SMG or compact AR instead of SC4000.
I'm not saying that everything has to be free of charge. They bring something new, they deserve getting paid - as much as their value equals to. But this kind of treatment is a major turnoff.
We still got 2 single player missions that had no effect on the PvP for free to enchance our gameplay, they got the classes with the theme specific weapons... and I guess you remember how much I enjoyed the predator one...
This update they've put serious work into single player content, so I can't really complain about what PvP got just because of a single weapon that we have to pay for. A weapon no one was asking for. A weapon that we have plenty of alternatives for. I am far more upset about LMGs with scopes for PvP classes than the M16 or SC 4000![]()
A good number of dudes did actually ask for it. Alternatives? Not really. It's a classic.Originally Posted by biomag83 Go to original post
The way I look at it is like this. PVP only players get to use it for one operator, and one operator only, whether they get it as part of the season pass, buy the operator separately, or earn with prestige points. But as a PVE player, if you buy it, or get in a free loot crate pool, it is yours to use much as you want.
