I was looking for some sort of suggestion box to send this to Ubisoft and I'm not convinced I'm in the right place here, but here goes...
I think the silver bar currency could work better.
I just completed the main Far Cry 5 campaign a week or so ago and I loved it. I have very positive opinions about the over all gameplay and I just started 'Outpost Master' as an excuse to keep playing.
What I have noticed after taking a handful of outposts is that I never spent much time hunting for Silver Bars the first time around. I opened safes where I found them and ended the game with all of the weapons and vehicles I could want as well as about 300 unspent silver bars. I NEVER spent silver bars.
The main reason for that is that I don't have any real incentive to spend them. Money is relatively easy to come by in Far Cry 5 (I hunt and fish a lot) and I like that about it. I wouldn't want it to be harder to make money. I also liked how Silver Bars were made available in game so that no content would be locked for players who didn't feel like spending real money, but because I had no incentive to spend it, I had no incentive to find it, let alone buy any of it with real money.
What I would really like to to see is a series of items/skins that are only purchasable with silver bars OR items that are otherwise ludicrously expensive to purchase with the main in-game currency. That would incentivize players to hunt them down in game or to actually pay for them.
That's all. Cheers.
There are in fact items that can only be purchased with silver bars.Originally Posted by psn_redridcully Go to original post
