Who thought it was a good idea to give every AI a negative IQ. Lets not even start with plane AI cause I cant tell you how many times Nick Rye has died by strafing into a tree.
Seriously there are random civilains who will speed by with no rhyme or reason at 180MPH and run you over because you were standing on the road.
Its 2018 Ubi and this is what we have? We got cutting edge tech and we just choose not to use it and instead make stupid AI that kamikazes into every tree they see.
We are years away from true AI - you probably won't even see it in your lifetime. Not even the top scientists and inventors of this world can give us true AI.
AI doesn't just happen in the simple course of programming. It's not like they give it a setting: Line 324: Set AI to 100. We're talking here about lines of code, not real people with fully functioning organic brains.
NPC in games are going to do stupid things - it's a simple fact.
I understand that, but like you said we can program them and tweak such AI in order for it to function properly. Say you give AI a new line of code so that it can "Stay above 200m altitude" or "Slow down if enemies nearby" Like hell even the website Scratch has those features and Ubi can really improve the functionality of AI if they took a few minutes to tweak some lines of code.
I think this is underestimating the task... (or they would have done it)Originally Posted by Elite Intel 6 Go to original post
LOL, they (Ubisoft) already have. The Division that definitely has its own problems, has way more intelligent AI than this game. Even GRW's AI is way better. This is the dumbest AI I have seen in many a game.Originally Posted by SofaJockey Go to original post
Basic enemy AI. Another excuse to post my comedy moment of this game so far, for anyone who has not seen it.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post

Who in their right mind stands in the middle of the road when a car is coming? That is evidence of a negative IQ. Especially when the car is going 180mph.Originally Posted by Elite Intel 6 Go to original post
The game would be SOOOO much more challenging if the Peggies saw farther than 30m when they are unaware. Would make it SOOOO much harder to sneak up on bases and such.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
It would also be nice if they opened the render distance past 250m and put a stop to despawning stuff just because you turned around.
I was chasing a hare to get the skin and it ran for 400m (even though I have the King of the Jungle perk) and the whole time it ran I had Boomer chasing it to kill it (probably why it went so far). He killed it and I ran up with it in front of me the whole time so the x was on my HUD and slid at the end near it's corpse and when the screen shifted from the slide and came back the body of the hare was gone, no x on the HUD. When I went back the 400m to the house I had seen the hare it was back and alive. So I snuck up and shot it with the RPG and skinned it. Got damaged meat but got my perk points.
