I have not seen this before, killed by a rogue inside a check point, fires thru walls

New experience tonight down under in Oz, entered DZ 2 West checkpoint, moved to my stash and next thing gunfire is heard and bullets are visible passing through the wall and I am experiencing bleeding, now it is different from lag in that you get hit but I have not heard actual gunfire and then seen the bullets passing through the wall in any lag episode, I rolled across the check point but the Rogue keeps firing, not missing a shot despite rolling across the check point floor and the bullets continue passing through the wall and I am close to dying, pop a booster shot and then heals but I am bleeding so it is Predators Mark in nature, rapidly lose health, especially considering I have 538K stamina and am running Nomad which triggers Nomad link but it is useless and in no time I am a crumpled mess on the floor having been killed by a rogue, inside a check point by firing through the check point walls and not missing me, it was not blind fire it was targeted. Just as I am about to die there is an announcement I should be aware there is a ROGUE MANHUNT in my vicinity, thanks for stating the flaming obvious.
I was completely frozen and respawn was not working, the game reset itself and I was relaunched into the start select agent menu.
I have made a submission on this but could not get a screenshot or any video, but what can you do when you can now get killed INSIDE A CHECK POINT.

Couple days ago I ran into a checkpoint past a guy who was standing at the door giving it forearm whacks. Didn't notice me until too late. After going in he and another guy out there went rogue and started firing into checkpoint and whacking the door with their forearms.

Bullets came through but I didn't notice any damage. I did see their forearms coming through door though. Was frickin hilarious.

Wow, what a surprise, a rogue hacking in the DZ. This is what happens when you don't have a robust anti-cheat in your game, do not have people monitoring your game 24/7/365 like, say, World of Warcraft and require your players to submit video proof of cheaters, doing their jobs for them.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how did you pop a booster in a "safe" area, which is what checkpoints are? All of my skills are disabled in any of them. Also, by "roll" I assume you mean the evade roll, which I have never been able to do in any safe area either.

Having said that, I also encountered something I've never seen before tonight, but totally different. Was in a group chasing a bunch of rogues and after rounding a corner they were backed in to my screen went totally white and I was instantly dead. I didn't hear any explosions like a flash bang, but there was an electronic "buzz" sound, almost like the dazzlers that the LMB snipers use. One of the members of my group was my son, who was well behind me but went around the corner about 7 seconds later and saw the same thing, then ran down the hall to tell me.

I suppose it could have been a sticky bomb, but I don't recall it sounding anything like that or having that much damage on that many people spread across about 12 seconds. Maybe they dropped 5 sticky bombs?

I certainly hit the boost and adrenaline shot but you are correct, it is disable inside the checkpoint, but then again you are not supposed to shoot through walls into a check point either but it happened, so while I hit them it must just have been the healing talent of the Nomad coming in at the same time, I know the screen was red and all you hear is heartbeat. Similarly I did the action to roll but can not have but must have pushed the toggle across and moved across but I was certainly distracted by the bullets coming through the wall and my red screen with imminent death. But even though I moved across the check point the main point was he changed his line of fire and just continued to nail me.
I am certain nothing will come of my complaint about it to the moderators, my hope is just to avoid meeting this agent again as there is no defence against those "skills"

Sounds to me you were experiencing lag delay.

I have had it when I’ve gone rogue and despite them being stood in one place I’m getting shot and they aren’t moving. So when you saw yourself in the CP. you were most likely in that transitional stage of entering he CP and they got you in time so the lag delay perceived you safe but the rogues most likely saw you rolling around on the outside of the CP looking like a fool.

I did not think this was lag as I saw the bullets passing through the wall of the checkpoint and when I moved across the check point the rogue changed aim and the bullets continued to hit me in my new location.
However your explanation makes perfect sense and you have it correct I think
Hoping in one way you are correct as the prospect of being killed inside a check point is unsettling.
We will never know but it has not happened again so far, but what was annoying was when I was killed it froze everything and I had to restart my PS4 to launch the game again.

I think the clue is in the fact that you were in the checkpoint and were able to roll around and use skills. IIRC all you can do is emote and move around. Nothing else. That there seems to indicate some sort of issue with the server synchronizing with your client. So you were probably not in the checkpoint at least according to the server. And the guy who shot you probably saw you at the coordinates where the server had you down at. But without logs its hard to know for sure. Sounds like it though.

I have seen more than my share of hackers and cheaters, but in this particular case I am inclined to side with agentCoats. If this were a hack it would almost have had to "infect" the server since it was impacting you as well and had your client convinced you were not in a safe area.

I am not saying that's impossible, but it would be a dang sophisticated hack to pull that off.

This is exactly what I thought! Sadly, this is 2018, and there is no video of this situation where a video would be very helpful.
