I run with the music off, which I love, but there are those %!$$! beeps that happen constantly. Beep.. beep.. beep... beep beep... they are an indication of something new close by.
But I have to tell ya after 500 of those pass through my ears all I can think of when they BEEP BEEP BEEP is how much I hate them... when I LOVE LOVE LOVE the game.
Please consider a setting allowing us to shut the beeps off. And if you combine that setting allowing us to use the compass without all the immersion breaking cheat icons on it, that would be a double win.
I don't want to be a whiner, I am playing and enjoying the game, but these two things are just annoyances of the worst kind.. they go on and on and on...
Seriously, you don't have the game giving you beeps when using the binoculars to spot something, or simply something comes within eye-sight (but you actually don't know what it might be yet)? I also have no music, and hate the continuous beeps.Originally Posted by OurJud Go to original post
So, I might have skipped over an audio setting?
I get the 'tagging' noise when I pass over enemies with my binoculars, but I can honestly say I don't get that sound or any other beeps during the normal course of gameplay. At least not that I'm aware of.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
Of course now I won't be able to play the game without noticing them!
LOL, for sure.Originally Posted by OurJud Go to original post
Should have stated tagging versus beeping w/ the binoculars. However there are other sounds the game throws your way in simple foot traveling. I think it has to do with getting "close" to a plant that could be picked, but actually haven't confirmed that. When I check around the immediate area upon hearing a low-level beep, can't find anything of interest.
I really need to check this next time I load the game up, because I'm almost certain I don't get any 'alert' sounds other than the tagging noise when using binoculars. I'm on PS4, by the way.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
Hey everyone thanks for the responses. I can see that in some cases I was not clear enough and it was misinterpreted.
No compass, no Boomer (or other helper), no binocs, no music, single player.
Here is someone elses video. In the first few seconds of the video, the guy says something like "move the place up".
Right after the up is a single beep. That is the beep I am talking about.
When one is walking in the woods and everything is quiet, if something comes within a certain range, you get that same beep. It can be helpful, it tells players "ok something is close by". But I wantto shut it off because I want to discover that something myself.
So again, right after "move the place up", just 4 seconds into the video... hear that %%$%$ beep.
