I Must Have missed the update that Dismissed skill as part of For Honor

i logged back into For Honor after a couple months break and i come to find that you can no longer guard break after you parry, you can counter guard break right after dodging. The once great game has now turned into a game of hitting with light attacks and turtling until the opponent dies WTF. Just because some people were salty they kept getting parried doesnt mean you should punish skill. Ubisoft balancing team really screwed this game up and I highly recommend that no one buys or installs this game. There is no reward for skilled players or experience

Well, this season's changes certain reduced the reward on parrying to make it safer to throw them with less risk, but the game still rewards you for skillful play, you just have to learn the new confirimed options (which technically isn't new, but just became the only way to punish off parry). This change simply makes the reward for parrying to be pretty universal plus on the bright side, you don't get your *** handed to you by a turtling, wall hugging cent (not that that is totally gone) or a ledge Lord and is arguably not very important past mid high level play, since raw GB is still a very accessable option.

The game is a lot faster thanks to it but new balacing issues also appear. And you can still punish dodging with GB, but now, or rather, for as long as I've known, different characters have different Dodge punish windows ( like how raider has only 200ms of GB vunerability on dodge, which makes on reaction GB impossible due to GB having 400 Ms startup on all characters), it's just different for all characters.

I suggest you try practicing with a group or some friends in order to get used to the new parry changes and punishes. U'll get a hang of it in a while.

P.S. Well if you're pissed at the game being turtling and light attacks, you're probably not defending well enough.(Arguably, the whole game is about who can bait an attack and who can punish it well enough... And turtling even all the way back in the open beta)

How does not giving you a free GB from a parry, eliminate the need for skill?

    I’m confused.

Now you have to work for your reward, and that equates into less skilled play..?

    Wut?
