I am very disappointed by the lack of information, and especially the marketing trap that took place during the release of the game and the season pass.
It was not indicated that the Season Pass was for year 1 only.
When I bought the game, it was not indicated there will be Year 1 Season pass, and a Year 2 Season etc.... I have pictures. There is only the mention of "the Season Pass". I also thought, that it was a Season Pass like The Division, or other Ubisoft games, that would last the life of the game.
But it is actually a Season Pass limited to one year! As in Rainbow Six. Except that in this RainBow Six, it is clearly indicated that the Pass only concerns one year (Year 1 - Year 2 etc ...).
I am therefore very angry at sales marketing techniques that play with a word that is ambiguous: the "Season" Pass, without being very clear, and hoping to earn more money in an unscrupulous way and trying to make things confusing.
I get why you may be angry, but I don’t see the point.
Looking at the original Rainbow Six Siege Gold Edition, they didn’t say there was going to be another season pass for the game either but anyway to the point.
When you buy the Gold Edition for Ghost Recon, you did so to get two single player expansions plus other things like outfits etc., however when they release Ghost War, they also launch a Ghost War Pass which was available for free for those who had the season pass. You didn’t know that content was there and yet you still got it. You buy the season pass for what it was included there, nothing more, nothing less (although you got more because of that Ghost War pass) and now you got the content so why are you complaining? You got what the season pass indicated, PLUS a Ghost War pass which wasn’t included at first and yet it was free, why didn’t you complain there?
Now with the Year 2 season pass content is nothing but early access to the operators, new outfits and 8 battle crates, like Rainbow Six Siege. All other content is free, you can get everything for free if you don’t want to get the season pass, you don’t. That season pass is to support Ubisoft to bring more content for the future.
You got why you pay for, end of story.
It's clear. Tell me what they said what you will be getting with Season Pass and what you have gotten as a buyer. Please do.
You've gotten everything they said - plus the Ghost War pass, whether you play it or not, but I didn't see you complaining about it being added without any info prior to game release.
Year 2 Season Pass is a different set of plans, different set of sales.
Your own speculative thought about what it will cover outside what they have specifically mentioned isn't their marketing mistake. It's consumer's fault. Yours.
Isn't most of the year 2 stuff free anyway.
In the coming months, four major updates – titled Special Operations – will be released for free, with each themed update adding new missions, items, rewards, and community-requested features
From the website the year 2 pass gives this:
In addition to the free updates, players will be able to purchase a Year 2 pass for $29.99, giving them seven-day early access to the new Ghost War classes as well as a customization pack, four Special Ops crates, and four Ghost War crates, giving them more character-customization options in the campaign and Ghost War.

Yeah, it's basically a Ghost War Year 2 pass, but with 8 crates.Originally Posted by Edgemoor Go to original post
If you're talking divisions of a year, yeah. .....but seasons can also define a sequence of events in (for example) sports, TV programs, games, etc. Things that don't go by the calendar seasons we know as spring, summer, fall and winter.Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
Yup. The Season Pass was clearly defined. You can be upset over what it included (Narco Road sucks and blindsided pretty much everyone), but Ubisoft never said it included anything other than what they provided.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
OP, there are things to dislike about Wildlands and Ubisoft, but this isn’t on them. This is purely self inflicted pain on your part.
There is one football season a year, think of Wildlands as a football.Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
