ACO Not Starting Solution Apple, Bootcamp & PC

I like many, have the new MacBook for traveling / work. Not the best for gaming but it breaks a leg while on the road.

Like many, and even a lot of PC users, I encountered the game no starting, stays stuck on the banner right after it loads info from the Cloud Servers.

I don’t know if it has anything to do with Bootcamp or the Radeon graphic module.

    So here’s what I did.

I grabbed the Game Launcher folder and moved it to an external SSD.

Then while inside I opened uPlay and went to Settings to update the file locations for Downloads, and Updates to that new place on the SSD.

    That’s is.

Game play is awsome. I’m doing 32-45 FPS full HD on Medium to Low settings.

It is indeed a very visual-heavy game. It’s a shame not everyone will get to play because it’s very pretty.

Hope this helps anyone looking for a solution.

    Peace out!!

Hey there. ACO does not officially support Bootcamp. When using Boot Camp to emulate Windows on a Mac, some functionality of Windows cannot be replicated. You will need to use a Windows machine with a standard PC configuration to play your game.
While the software allows you to run Windows, ultimately the machine is still a MacBook and those are not officially supported. This is likely why you cannot play it regardless of using Boot Camp or not.
One step that can help some users is to make sure that OSX and the Windows emulation are both fully up to date. This still may not work in some instances. You will need to contact Apple Support for assistance with any aspect of Boot Camp. Hope this clears things up

Boot Camp does NOT emulate Windows. It is not a virtual environment. Windows is run natively on a Mac just like any other system with an Intel processor. There is absolutely nothing "emulated" about it.

It's sad that this community is "represented" by people who know next to nothing about computers or how things work.
If you don't know, don't comment. Bootcamp isn't emulation. Period.
