I can tell you this, a swastiska even inside a video game on a computer screen is still a swastika, where a man hanging in a parachute inside a videogame is just a bunch of polygons strung together. He is not human (doesnt even look very human), you hit the refly button and he will fly another day no problem, but that "paint" on the tail of your plane can still effect people the same way it did 70 years ago.
I don't have a problem with either of those 2 in this enviroment, but how people can get more upset over a 3d puppet getting hit with some fake laser bolts than the other item mentioned, is beyond my grasp.

Well if countries are banning it probably because they most likely fear it coming again.
Just look what is happening in Jamel,
northern Germany.
The swastika is banned yet they can still
publish Mien Kampf.Go figure.
I can understand thier fear.

We all need to tread carefully in this one.
I think the fact that has been said already -that the swastika is a banned symbol in certain countries and that therefore the game would be unable to be sold - is where this discussion should stop on this forum.

In any case, there will be an enabler that will allow the said symbol to be display. Most likely anyway. IL2 had the swastika deep in its code but it took third parties to figure out how to display it. The symbol was there the whole time but 1C and Ubi could not sell the game if it displayed automatically. I'll bet the same thing will happen in the case of COD and it won't take long.
I don't like the symbol but German planes just don't look right without it, so I have enabled it to be displayed by an enabler for years now.

I have my opinion which is a shadow compared to those behind those laws. What I tried to do is explain to those too selfish to see for themselves why those laws are so, not simply my opinion. It's a shame that for some there is such a need to dodge understanding that they misdirect themselves and others onto a false track by characterizing what I wrote that way. To them: you will get your candy but not with the regular dinner. Too bad if that is what upsets you.

It doesn't actually bother me one bit. I did a bit of reading into the symbol and it's origins and found the Nazi relevance a minor blot in the symbols history. I just put myself above the emotional plane.. you know.. the superior being..

Pointless observation as no doubt someone will make skins that include the subject article (as in Il2), oh well (as someone I know says quite often
) the circle turns again and again and again.. Why not point out that certain planes are in but shouldn't be and others that should be aren't? Oh........never mind eh!
