    Body Armor questions

    Hola.

Just started playing the game last weekend & it my first go at any of the games in the Far Cry series, FYI.

I'm wondering about the body armor.

    1) Once you find it, do you automatically equip it? I know for certain that I've acquired it (through looting), but can't find any way to confirm that I'm actually wearing it as it doesn't show in the character customization menus. Maybe I'm missing something here?

    2) Despite being certain that I've looted some body armor, now whenever I run across it, it looks like I don't have any - it shows a 0/1 indication.

    3) Is it a consumable item? Once it's sufficiently bullet-ridden does it cease to exist and you have to find a new one?

Good questions--I've also been wondering about this, as there's no way I know of to know when it's being used, and when it needs to be replaced...

There's a blue bar above your health bar once acquired (auto equipped), but once you perk to 300% health, you wont need it very much IMO.

Thanks for the info - but where is this health bar of which you speak?

Playing last night I see no health indicator. Is there an option in settings to show some sort of HUD?

    body armour

The body armour bar (blue) appears on top of the health bar (green). Both are on the lower right corner of the screen. I'm not sure, but i think they only appear when you are in combar or being attacked.

    To answer your questions:
    1) yes
    2) in my opinion, it runs out pretty fast. you may need a new one every time you enter combat.
    3) yes

    Thanks.

Generally speaking, until I become comfortable with the game mechanics I'm not typically going to be looking for the appearance of my health bar while I'm being mauled by a cougar, but I'll make an effort to see if the alleged health bar appears the next time I'm engaged in combat.
