First wave lets you place about 10 enemies. Then you selecte Wave 2 and you are able to place over 50 or 60 enemies on one square!
Then when you test the map, kill 10 enemies from wave 1, only 10 spawn from wave 2. And the rest are bugged. Either never spawning or only a few out of 50 AI's!!
Im sorry to say this, but Far Cry 1 editor was more advanced that this pile of poo! FIX it already FFS!

That said, to answer your question. The wave sythem really works great.
Although i never placed 50 enemies in one wave, because that is simply no fun at all.
Most enemies i place in a wave are 6 to 8 MAX.
But to asnwer; you can decide when a next wave gets spawned.
It works like this, you place wave one, then wave 2. When you choose the enemie you
can also set there if they walk or drive, and, when they get spawned.
You can choose bewteen;
-when 1 enemie is dead from wave 1.
-when 25% is dead from wave 1
-when 50% is dead from wave 1
-when 75% is dead from wave 1
a great systhem and again, works like a sharm!

For the English people here, just greeted him as we both as Dutch.
But i never heart of that people often sneek past enemie waves, ofcourse will some do it but
i don't believe many will. AT least not real sp gamers, because what is then the fun of it when you
go out of your way to not meet the enemies. Although, now that i think of it. A stealth mode could
be played like that indeed. But, personally i search in every corner till i have killed them all, lol.

Haha, the Gag started when I bought Forza 7 and got into online. It began because my friends tell me, I always go for those same risky overtakes and afrassive moves, as Max himself does. However, they fail 9/10 times in my situation, so it needed to be a parody name.
Anyhow, I actually design some maps in a way that there is a possibility to sneak past everyone without getting detected. Combined with the "spotted is instant game over" setting, it makes for some really tense journey maps.
I really wish people would use that setting more in appropriate situations.
I can imagine that it will be tense to play such maps, and to make them you have to think
carefully ahead. But, to be honest, personally i am not a real fan of stealth and such.
Play it ones in a while but am more a guy of sneak and shoot everyone, not run and shoot
but sneak, lol.
I finished my first map yesterday, its sp ofcourse and takes about 1 hour to play i assume,
the map is huge. In fact, it uses the complete grid. Today i will edit a video with gameplay

What I found was that you can place (24) Wave 1 enemies. Although you can specify a very large number in each of the subsequent waves, I could only get a total of 12 to show up at a time from all waves 2 through 5. Also they will only spawn if they are out of your field of view. Each subsequent wave won't spawn until the previous wave is exhausted although there is an exception to this. If all the wave 2 spawn points are in your view when they are supposed to spawn then they won't spawn I found the game would spawn enemies from wave 3 instead. I've been experimenting with the best way to make this work for a very large Bounty Hunt map I've been working on.
Hi I’m creating a big map and using all 5 waves in far cry 5, I’ve ran into a problem on PS4. Wave 1 has 24 max ai but seems the following waves have unlimited ai, so I put down same as wave 1 (24) in each, ive set all waves to be triggered at “1 dead” but the waves are not getting triggered and not spawning unless I eliminate them in order of which ai was put down 1st... is this bug? Also I’ve found a couple of the assets from far cry 4 are broke.
