Simple as hell, all you need to do is create an exclusive execution, emote and effect for every class that you get only if you finish the year in diamond. Period. What this will do is get everyone to start playing ranked to try for diamond, it will get people serious and competitive about your game, and it will attract e-sports attention all by itself just like league of legends. Guys, for honor is a great game, all you have to do is mimic league of legends for content and ranked and your good.
Welcome to the forums and thanks for the suggestion. We definitely want to keep a unique touch on For Honor in terms of the content plans, but incentives are always nice as well. Some of these things like executions tend to take quite a bit of time to design, but hopefully we come up with cool ways to keep everyone interested.

Balance the full roster so that I can play my favorite chars without the preset elimination ahead in my mind. I won't fight a tournament with an underdog hero, who has to fight three times harder than others, and get nothing worthy at the end.
Thats the main reason why I'm not playing this mode. Rewards are just the 2nd point on the list.

Yes, that's true. Making some special executions, animations and so would take a lot of time, and you would have to make new ones on every new ranked season, so it's pretty pointless. I was about to post the same suggestion, so I will give you the real solutions right there. Just:
- Raise the steel gain on every winning stage. Also, make a difference in rewards which would depend on how many groups was in. Let's say: there was only one group, you won the tournament so you are getting 250 steel and these other prices (colors, decorations, etc). But if there was 8 groups, then for first place in whole tournament you should have like ~800 steel and these other prices. It would be a nice thing to make players "want to" play rankeds in well-populated tournaments.
- State some prieces for every level up. Of course, every level up once in a ranked season (so if you would get to s3 from s2, you would get a reward, then you would drop down to s2 later on and level up to s3 again, then you would have no price, because you had one already in specified ranked season). These prices could be random - from a little steel amounts, mid scraps amounts to a rare crate. On every division level up (like from bronze to silver) you should have guaranteed crate, and it could be made in "+1 crate system" for every higher division. So, from bronze to silver - 1 crate, from silver to gold - 2 crates, from gold to platinum (or whatever is higher) - 3 crates, and so on.
- Finishing the ranked season in diamond should give some higher tier price, like 1500 steel and 4 crates. You could aslo add some "no.1" rank, above diamond, like "Master Class" or something like that, and finishing season in this divison would give you a random elite costume on random character, but getting to this division should be quiet hard, only for the best. Let's say, you would have to win 10 tournamnets in a row on Diamond V. Then, losing 3 in a row would drop you back down to D5.
On top of that you would have to add rank reset system if someone would not play rankeds. Like - someone got to Master Class or Diamond and he is not playing for a whole ranked season because he want to get rewards. This can cause unwanted unactivites, so rank should reset after 1-2 weeks if someone is not participate in rankeds for that time.
With all of these above you do not need to add new content and ranked will be ppoplated from high to very high and medium in mid-night.
This doesn't solve any of the current issues with the ranked duel system. To begin with, you get basically no experience or steel for playing duels so it's a waste of time progression wise. Second, rank means absolutely nothing so it's even more of a waste of my time. Third, match making times are too long and tourney times are wayyyyy too long. Fourth, my reward, no matter my reward tier, is still random regardless of the hero I play. I don't even get rewarded for playing a specific hero. I got a Shugoki ornament when I've never played Shugoki a single time and all I want is an ornament for my mains. There's seriously almost zero incentive to play ranked, but damn do I want that shinobi ornament.

Its un****ingbelievably stupid from a design standpoint and defeats the whole purpose of ranked. Just unfathomably dumb. I really dont have words to adequately express how awful that decision is.
Like right now, ornaments are a joke (i.e. meaningless) since you literally dont require any playerskill to get them. (which again is the whole ****ing point of ranked!)
Soon, this game is already an elitist, with that. I think some players are a bit unfair or imbalance then most this will make it harder for some characters to obtain their unique special rewards. Someone can "Spam this" and can beat the game if the other player is cautious, but that force that player to think and also go under pressure. Which is quite not fun. For example, someone can spam Gladiator's zone attack and get a free hit, or a Highlander's caber toss free heavy. Should really reconsider of balancing all of character instead of releasing and buffing new ones. Maybe, some characters needs whole revamp. Valkyrie has been thrown of the rug, Warden is a bit mid tier, and the raider can be easily avoid its stun tap, since his kit revolves around one move. I'm not trying to be toxic, Fred. Is just I had big hopes, been with for honor for the past beta. Newer kits, creates older kits outdated, also those kits are unable to adjust or adept to the newer ones. Potentially, all of the characters are all old, except the recent new ones. Honestly, good luck finding away to be fair, I can see most of the character has its own kit, and presets. Naturally, this game, by its nature is hard to balance make it equal for all players so that we can have a choice to whom we should play instead of being force to play the new characters to keep up to date.
I agree. The incentive was broken when they decided to randomise the prizes. You should be able to choose your prize based on both your character and reward tier.
