Not using Guns/Fangs For Hire and turning off enemy tagging would probably make it harder..? But yes, regenerating health should be optional.

I turn off enemy tagging... I turn off all HUD, even the compass.

But I love using Guns/Fangs for Hire. It’s the best and only new feature in the freakin game!

I mean I do play without as well.

But, I should not have to ‘not use’ features of the game in order to make the game harder - that’s nuts.

    HARD should mean HARD...

I mean there’s a Normal and an Easy mode for people that want it — so why is Hard not HARD??

You can only assume the QA Testers atUbisoft are crap at games..........?

We absolutely need this, as Primal had an expert difficulty and survivor mode i'm astonished that this wasn't implemented for FC5.

Exactly — Survivor Mode in Primal made the game for me, it was fantastic.
I don’t understand why they would make the hard setting so tame in FC5...

I mean I’ve had to turn everything off to try a squeeze any kind of challenge.

I really hope Ubisoft address this problem.

    Me too...

I’m about to shelve this game.

Zero challenge means it’s just getting boring to play. It’s just not fun.

It’s a real shame because it’s decent, and I also think the Gun for Hire could be a really interesting feature, if the game was HARD. It would add a layer of strategy that would be brilliant.

As it stands they make an easy game even easier.

I really hope they bring out a SURVIVOR MODE, and an OPTION TO DISABLE REGENERATING HEALTH...

    Any word from Ubisoft...?

You’ve made a decent game here, but there’s zero challenge.

    I’ve actually stopped playing.

I wait in hope, that a harder difficulty will be added. A true Survivor Mode.

I would love there to be a more "hardcore" mode but when I am talking "harder" I don't mean for Ubi to simply increase the enemies damage resistance. I believe the game can be made more challenging in different ways like modifying/removing the regen (as mentioned), add more enemies, etc.

If that's the solution, I don't want any part of it to be honest. I would rather have better opponents who use tactics to try and outwit me rather than superhuman bullet sponges. Unfortunately, I think the AI in this game is rather simplistic so without a lot of rework, I doubt they would ever be challenging in that regard.

The weapons are also overly simplistic in their characteristics compared to one another and flat out don't make any sense in certain examples. ....which only serves to make the game feel even more shallow.

Harcore to me is more realistic damage across the board with other features also tailored to make the gameplay more challenging like some of the survival elements mentioned within this thread.

Adding more enemies would just make it even more annoying.

Less enemies that are as tough as your character would be better to increase the difficulty level imo. I also would love to see a Hardcore Level, maybe that unlocks after beating the campaign. The game is really far too easy, no idea who it was tested on, but its too easy. Also agree that in Hardcore all the HUD elements should be OFF by default. The highlighted enemies, seeing through walls and tagging is not realistic at all.

I’m sorry — there absolutely must be an OPTION to DISABLE REGENERATING HEALTH! It’s killing this game dead.

Also - I’m not in favor of bullet sponge Enemies. BUT, I must admit giving some of the basic enemies a little more health, I wouldn’t mind.
Gun fights are over so bloody quick - as most enemies go down with one shot - and not head shots either!
I mean, fine it’s more realistic, but gun fights are over in seconds... and I’m not sure that’s super fun.

In contrast the player can withstand a lot of punishment which is totally unrealistic. So having them do more damage to the player would be better.
