Game needs a 4th difficulty, perhaps make harder enemy types spawn more often, make reinforcements get called more often by roaming patrols, shorten the detection meter time, increase accuracy of enemy aircraft gun strafes, increase enemy aircraft bomb damage and radius, make enemy snipers more powerful etc...
But the biggest problem, that I think needs tweaking on normal and hard mode as well, is outposts and patrols need more defenses against players in armed aircraft, especially in coop.
I have never been killed by an enemy in an armed helicopter or plane. AI need to use turrets more effectively against aircraft, and RPG gunners need to more frequently have lock on capability.There are anti-lock-on flares on many aircraft, but 40+ hours in I have literally NEVER been locked onto
Game is great, but once I get good gear and perks, even on hard mode I have to deliberately limit myself to get a fun challenge.
My take on difficulty levels:
* Would love a way to switch off "X-Ray" vision BS--I don't recall activating a perk to switch it on. It ruins the immersion for me. Seeing enemies once doesn't mean I magically gain the ability to track their movements. With a decrease in enemy spawn rates, this would make enemy engagements more interesting and believable.
* Spawn rate is too implausible, even on "Hard" settings. Getting waves of enemies out of nowhere reminds me too much of the LSPD in GTA Online. Ugh. Again, it ruins the immersion when there appear to be invisible factories producing enemies out of the blue, instead of a fixed number of them that I just happened to run into.
* Toughest enemies should be wearing (something like) the Watch Dogs bomb-defusal gear, IMO. That was one aspect about Watch Dogs I thought highly of--it was totally plausible, and a great way to make a challenge fun: "Do you really wanna go home in a body bag?"
Agreed, game is way too easy right now. It takes forever to die even on Hard, like when my health goes down to 0 it still takes so many hits from an enemy to finish me off. And it doesn't help that the enemy basically uses the same weapons throughout the entire game unlike FC4 where late-game enemies had 2HKO sniper rifles and much better assault rifles + body armour.
