Most enjoyable way to play FC5

After having spend multiple hours in FC5 i found out that the game is way more enjoyable to play if you do all the story mode related missions first without touching any of the side missions/activities. That way you can actually enjoy doing all the other things without getting harassed by tons of enemies all the time, planes coming for you, the forced captures and so on.
The other good thing about this is that you get 400$ bonus for everything you do because you freed the region, 400$ bonus does add up with all the side missions/activities. You even get 400$ bonus when doing the prepper stash bunkers, so it basically doubles what you find.

Playing through all the story mode missions first is not the most fun thing to do but it was more of a case of getting it out the way for me, the story isn't the most original and lots of things get old quickly imo. The fun and far cry experience really started for me when the main story was out of the way, I can actually go places now and it makes exploring and playing coöp a lot more fun. It's doable now to take outposts unnoticed, no more random enemies or planes screwing you over all the time, no more overload of enemies. There's still enough enemies but it doesn't feel like too much now, feels more normal like in the previous far cry's.

It's really good fun now, i get to enjoy the beautiful environment, toy around with weapons and vehicles, try all sorts of stupid stuff with friends in coöp. We can go fishing without getting attacked every 2min, you can actually talk normal to people now without them running away or being scared or dying. You can freeroam without getting captured unwanted. Bit of a shame that it is like this, the whole main story is a bit meh but everything besides that is actually quite good and that's where the biggest value is for me in this game. Also kudos for loads of fun dialogues.

Tip: I still needed some resistance points when i did all the main story related missions, but i didn't want to touch the side stuff so i just went out on the road for a littlebit and got resistance points quite fast by destroying enemy vehicles, freeing captured npc's, killing vip's, stealing their supply trucks and such. Got 1000-2000 resistance points in 30-60min.

Have fun and feel free to share your opinions about this.

Agreed--the most annoying thing to me is that half the time I get overloaded with cultists from every possible angle; usually around roads. The spawn rate of vehicles that suddenly show up out of nowhere on roads as soon as you take out one vehicle gets really ridiculous.

Would be nice if they were spaced out a bit more; running into a random patrol or two in the middle of the woods would be a nice way to do that, and add some variety.

Also, there are a few tasks/places that seem to be broken in that there's no visible way to access them (e.g. the white silo with something in the top appears to have no way to climb up to it from either inside or outside.) Other stash objectives don't seem to clear even after you empty them completely (the location with the two beehives inside).

Might be a good thing if you play on hard mode? I play normal and then there is never a problem with too many enemies etc. Planes etc. are easily taken down.

I just roam around and enjoy that its alive and full of enemies here and there. it doesnt feel empty and I choose when to engage. I postpone the story in fact.

I never "Fast travel' which makes the game much more enjoyable for me.

It means I'm often taking quad bikes, helicopters, planes to get around.

I had to travel halfway across the map to Hope Prison.
Judging if I could land my seaplane on the river alongside was fun...

Exact opposite for me. I like to do everything else first and avoid story missions as much as possible. I want to liberate the regions and by liberate I mean literally liberate everything by slowly advancing into the region. With story missions it sometimes happens that you need to go all the way into the middle of the region.
Imagine D-Day, allies going straight to Germany, ignoring Normandy, Belgium etc. That's how I see it anyway, slowly pushing in, liberating everything and when that is done, kill the boss.

Doing that, I'm always on foot and away from roads, so only time I had a problen with too much enemies was in Faith's region just because she kept spawning animals and Angels right infront of me, even in the woods or mountains. It also bothered me because it made me so much money killing all those animals. I just stepped into the Jacobs region for the first time with 82k and no idea what to do with it.
