What's going on with the map screen?

The performance of the map screen on the X1X needs to be addressed. It has severe tearing, and manages to make the system run hotter than the game itself does.

Why is the map more resource-intensive than the game itself?

I agree, the screen tearing is terrible on the map. It really is strange since this is the only spot I have encountered it on the X1X.

A fix will definitely be appreciated.

Tried everything. The box blows so loud that I thought I had left the vacuum cleaner on.

Thanks, does the screen tearing only occur when you are moving the cursor on the map? Do you experience other graphical glitches or the Xbox running hot anywhere else or just the map?

For me the tearing only occur when you move the cursor on the map. As far as other graphical glitches are concerned, I have not experienced any.

FC3 and numerous other games suffer this problem. Maybe it has something to do with the game still running in the background and the additional processing and rendering just pushes the system a bit harder. The screen tearing could be due to the fact that the map has 3D elements and is quite interactive.
