    Multiple Character Slots?

Is there a way to have multiple character save slots? I would like to have a character that strictly runs solo that is separate from the character I am using to play coop with my friends. Any info would be great. Thanks.

    Hello DrewVader3 8,

Unfortunately it's not possible, there is only one save slot available.

Something you may be able to do is swap the saves between an external drive.

    Thank you

I'll do my best to answer the questions.

I can't say for definite but I believe it is to do with the progress being linked to both Single player and Arcade but i'm not fully aware of the technicalities behind it.
Someone who didn't think it was a bad idea.
I hope not, we wouldn't want them to have to move to work on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

For real though, I understand that for some users they enjoy the freedom of separate save slots and we're making sure the team are aware of the feedback. If you have any specific reasons as to why you feel handicapped by only having one slot, please let us know as we're interested to hear.

    Thanks.

thanks for reply, i was kinda joking bout the firing lol but.....

simple reason is i dont save over my characters when i start a new one, why would i?? i dont want to save over them and ive never known anybody who did.
why would you want us to save over our characters??
in the 100000000000000+ games ive played ive yet to play one with character progression in which you have to delete/save over your character to play a new game.
even the simple thing of wanting to have a female character and a male character to play i cannot. keep the first character i made/played i cant, one for main game one for coop nope cant, etc etc
live events with peggies i could have a separate game where they are still populated, whereas end game its just reset outposts till you get enough peggies. if i didnt have to save over my character i could have another game going where they havnt disappeared yet.
show friends parts of games, especially the crazyness of the random encounters, pitched battles between resistance and peggies or the road carnage etc i cant, i cant just load up a save as theres no peggies anymore and i cant start up a new game without saving over my character.

yes with pc you can save your saves somewhere else and console go through the pain in the *** saving onto usb but why make us do that when you could simply have what every other game in the world does and thats allow us to make multiple character saves. you dont have to give us multiple in game save lots but definitely multiple character slots.

can i flip this around and ask you why you feel gamers would want to save over their characters? why you think its not a problem?

also for both game designers and gamers this is very important. we are never ever going to get 100% consensus on anything but we need to understand when 2 groups (for example) have a different want to implement the want that gains something for one group and doesnt effect the other rather than the want that does effect one groups play
for example multiple chaarcter slots theres 3 groups. those that want, those that dont and those that dont care.
well the dont cares dont care so not a worry but heres the difference between the other 2
no character slots, those that do want are effected it is impacting their enjoyment of the game
multiple character slots, those that dont want it doesnt effect them, they can either ignore and just do "one and done" or they can save over/delete their characters as normal
in other words having no character slots does effect some gamers enjoyment of the game whereas having multiple slots wont effect anybodys enjoyment of the game

    Also want multiple save slots

I also really wanted multiple save slots. I played the game through once with a character that I enjoyed. Since I was at the end I had lots of weapons unlocked, lots of vehicles unlocked, lots of perks unlocked, etc. I wanted to play the game again from the beginning, but I would love to go back to that old character and play Outpost Commander with all of the weapons unlocked. It really would be nice to switch back and forth between the two characters. Some days I want all the vehicles, all the guns, and all the perks and some days I want to play the game from the beginning.

Reason I want more than one save or character slot!

Why do I want more than one “Save” or “Character “ slot??

    Simple reason,

I want to share the game with the rest of my household.
    (I.e. My kids and wife)

While I understand that "UPLAY" May not want this, (For profit reasons)

It also seems a little unreasonable to in effect only have such an expansive game only license to one single user,

On the other hand UPlay also has a valid point!

    Can I propose a compromise?

Maybe an additional cost for extra character save slots, that would be cheaper than buying a whole second copy of the Game but at the same tine still produce income for Uplay?

Maybe for example, have the feature only unlocked upon completion of the main story followed by the following cost per game slot?

    Slot 1
25% of present market game cost

    Slot 2
50% of present market game cost

    Slot 3
75% of present Market game cost

and a final 4th slot Onwards
For 100% of present Market game cost.

Notre prices of game lot cost would be at "Present Market Value" so advantage can be taken by customers of seasonal Sales and offers!

    Cheers!

Hello, Rat_Lombot. I will let our team know about your feedback. To the best of my knowledge no changes to the save state of Far Cry 5 is planned at this time.
