I'm on my third visit to the asylum now and it's totally ruined the game for me, trapped in that loop after god knows how many attempts,I have given up, even though I enjoy the open world and game play, I've had enough Ubisoft. Why can't they make it so you can skip these things or at least after say 3 attempts they let you return to the game, but give a reward to the people who manage to complete it. I stupidly bought the gold edition with season pass from the Sony store and now I can't even play it, duh. I won't make that mistake again Ubisoft. I can't see myself buying a Far Cry title again.

the game has auto aim if you switch between aiming and not very quickly

just spray and pay your way to victory, everything dies in 1 hit no matter where you hit them in this trial

It would be good if you were able to hunt them down and kill a few but 1 got you. More satisfying.

Phew. I am happy that I am not alone in hating this part of the game.
I have only talked to one other person about the issue with being drugged and dragged. And he loves it.
I ABSOLUTELY hate this part. And if that wasn't enough, the autocompletion makes matters even worse.

I tried playing through this game twice, really changing tatics on second playthrough. Only going for a couple of specialists and then hitting all the prepper stasches. Thinking that I could delay the madness long enough to play through mission, at my own accord.
But no. You simply rake up resistance points too fast.
I'm seriously thinking about quiting all together.
Too bad, cause overall it's a great game, but these mechanics is ruining the experience.

Totally agree. This is the most wrongheaded POS since FC2 ! Does anyone realize they will have to sit through the complete 30 minute intro in its entirety EACH TIME they want to start a New Game ? You can't Esc through it........absolutely mind-numbing. I've played every FC but this one is the worst.

I can skip the cut scene

When I escaped the bunker with only a pistol, I roleplayed being without contact and access to my main weapons and companions until I'd reached civilization on foot again. Had to fight a group of peggies with pistol, throwables and drugs. Really enjoyed the challenge. But second playthrough I can see this would get old quickly so a skip cut-scene option would be nice. Thanks.
if you look away from them with the PS4 controller it gives you an option to hit the circle button to skip the cutscene at least it did for me

Way to get a lot of money

For all you older gamers here, I found a way to at least get lots of money so the game gets a bit easier. There is an unnamed lake in a deep valley, in Jakob's territory, far NW, just above Cedar Lake. Plenty of game there, and a gun dealer camping on the lake. Easiest access is with heli. So the first opportunity for a heli might be when you're captured and have to rescue Merle. After that mission, take the heli you just were rescued with, and fly up to this lake. You can shoot game there and redeem it until you get a 3rd holster, then a larger ammo capacity for your weapons, more health, etc, from the many perk points you get for shooting and skinning the game. There are also peggies to kill and cougars and bears as well as elk, moose, deer too. Gets the game off to a much better start when you have $15K, rather than $500.

    That's it for me...

I am 68 years old, and have enjoyed all the Far Crys... until this one. On the first run through, I got as far as being captured after completing about 20% (?). of the game. I don't do well in situations where I have to beat the clock (hate it!), and so after 10 or 12 attempts to fight my way out of the full house with a pistol, I started a new game. I play with the sound off, for I find the cult drivel very depressing, and a real downer. I just got captured again after 10-15%, and so I quit. I shall look foe a better game (non ubisoft). Pity... I like the unhurried tactical dealings with the outposts. Ahh well...

Totally agree leedavisone with everything you've said. I'm older than you and do not have the hand coordination to finish those timed pressured routines. Also dislike the whole theme of this game.

Ubisoft does not care. I do not believe they will make the enforced captures optional in any patch. This game could have been pretty good but was ruined by dumb ideas and cr@p AI. There is no Artificial Intelligence in this game - only Artificial Idiots.

I agree, it could have been a great game, but clearly some of the designers have ego issues, and the power to make sure it's their way or the highway. If these issues are not modified, and I will never buy a FC game again.
