I tried this strategy from a timed mission in FC4 which I failed about five times previously trying to kill everyone. The monastery I think it was and I used a shotgun too and it worked well. In my first timed capture mission in FC5 I think I shot one enemy then ran the rest and only used one health pack. Far too easy.

you get "extra" time added for every kill... I have never had trouble getting out of it after many game plays.. kill the first 2.. be ready to grab that gun asap and aim pop aim pop... head out the door grab next gun... take them all out as you move.. (helps if you memorize the map) as there are false corridors... honestly it is not "that" hard.. unless it takes you forever to aim and fire and hit an enemy

I totally agree with this. I've just come across my first timed mission today where you have to kill everyone and believe you me I'm no hotshot gamer. It took me about eight tries to complete this and I thought it had a good balance of being challenging but not overly frustrating. Once you complete it the first time and know what to do you should be able to do it again without a problem. It's one of those.

How far into the game do the capture missions constantly happen? I've completed Holland Valley, most of Henbane River and some of the other area and I've only been captured twice.

Reminds me of the euphoria concerning the outposts on Far Cry 2. You could actually sneak past the majority of these and avoid combat. More time consuming though as you had to leave your vehicle behind (if you had one).

I never had any problem with FC2 outposts but in FC5 you get captured pretty easily; something that is not even supposed to be a thing in a free-roam title.

Like I said, I've been captured twice so far and I've done a substantial amount in the game.

Perhaps it's something to do with how FAST you're resistance meter rises and how aggressive you play the game. For what it's worth i'm quite nonchalant and haven't even used every weapon that's available to me yet. Usual suspects are bow & arrow, sniper, shotgun, skorpion, one of the rifles, proximity and remote explosives, grenades, throwing knives, and the odd explosive arrow and molotov.
