    You made game too easy

Well I'll start with fact 1.3 was fine except solo scaling and bugs, glitches, exploits, the amount of gear I was finding solo was fine, npc fights were perfect.

    Then you changed everything.

Now gear is super easy to get and after doing GE's what is left to do? On top of that npc are now way to easy to kill, you keep giving out better gear for almost no work at all and it lets you face tank way too much now, so much for cover huh?

Hope this is no sign of what TD2 will be like, I hope you notice giving away gear for little work has made zero difference in some players attitudes, people are crying just like they did in 1.3 about loot and its not even close to as hard to get, Please don't water down TD2 like you have this game.

Why should a game be work?
Why not just enjoy the game?

I don't mind a grind but there needs to be specific limits.
If one player can get everything in ten hours and another takes 1000 hours, that's fundamentally broken.

    Wait? What?

    EASY!

It's taken me 1000 + hours of grinding till my eyes bleed to get a barrets chest piece, screw me I can do the first half of LEX blindfolded (yet a friend got 2 within 1 month of playing) now it's virtually useless in reality.

It's taken me 2 months to get my last Lone-star piece, including all GE's/Ranking up from 84 to 98 in the DZ, several UG runs and WSP runs etc etc I finally got it from DZ 09 and not from Outbreak GE's the lone star available one.

Super easy to get, yet in all that grinding I still haven't seen a Big-Al to complement my Lone-star build, still haven't see a House not even a crap rolled one,

In all the GE's and consequent grinding iv'e played I have managed to get only two complete Classy builds, all the rest were either 4 or 5 pieces (yeah super easy and dropping lots)

It's got nothing to do with super easy to get it's RNG and Luck no more and no less.

As for work REALLY! since when did playing games become work?

Whats worst of all the grind is still on the same old tedious boring content wev'e had for 2 years nothing new nothing interesting.

What I think we gained U1.3 to U1.4
The solo scaling in U1.3 was bad and needed to change.
Loot was so rare it was absurd and drove people to mass exploiting of content, which for the people who did gained an unfair advantage of power over others.

What I think we lost U1.3 to U1.4
Meaningful gear choices in group play, in what was supposed to be the hardest missions; UG and Incursions. The most fun and useful I've ever felt in a group was in pre U1.4.
Even though 99% of the gear these days that drop is useless, It's still the last tier (GS256) of gear. Players on some level still see it as potentially useful but know it never is. I think this is the reason for the loot rain perception. (DivTech is a bandaid solution for mass duplicate rewards in my opinion)

I've said repeatedly that loot rain is cancer. The lack of gear progression is a detriment to this game.

The fact that the game offers solo players the same gear as the most competent group players is completely idiotic. Group play has absolutely no place post 1.3. Incursions are pointless. Building gear to run Incursions is pointless.

Making a game that ignores skill, progression, and effort is even more pointless.

The Division is trying to compete with Call of Duty and many other play and drop games when it should be trying to compete with WoW and other progression based games.

I agree with the OP, the game has become a candy land. As for fun, many of us can say what we do or do not find fun. I found the game to be much more fun before gear sets came out. I also found the game more fun before 1.4. Some people actually find a challenge fun and do not see it as work. This game has lost it's soul and only time will tell if it will be another title ruined by the "majority" who do not even show up for the sequel....

I get that some people like a challenge, and I get that pre-1.4, loot definitely felt more meaningful, but for me, 1.3 and prior suffered from two major problems. The content was difficult because the enemy health pools were scaled to ridiculous proportions, all because of the massive amounts of bonus damage and damage mitigation that were possible when using the "holy trinity" of Sentry, Pulse and Smart Cover. If you didn't have the right gear, or wanted to use different skills for a different playstyle, it was extremely difficult to survive, let alone be effective. When challenge comes at the expense of build diversity and the allowance of various playstyles, that's a problem.

The other major problem was that while the amount of loot that was dropping in 1.3 may have been acceptable, the quality of it really was not. When you ran Hard content, you got loot that was appropriate for...Hard content. The only way to get better loot (aside from hoping to get lucky in the DZ) was to do harder content, which you were undergeared for, and progression slowed to a crawl if not outright stopped for a lot of players. Did the devs go too far, giving out too much loot indiscriminately? Possibly. It all kind of comes back to the RNG and having systems in place to combat it when it's unfavorable. Unfortunately there were no such systems in place (we're just now going to be getting targeted caches), and so the only available way to appease those players suffering from horrible RNG was to increase drop rates, and increase the number of sources from which loot could be dropped.

The problem as I see it now, is that TTK and TTBK have been (mostly) sorted out, allowing for more builds and playstyles. This naturally is going to make things feel more fair, and less like the odds are insanely stacked against you as they once were. Couple that with the fact that we got gear upgrades, leading to more powerful agents, but never got a corresponding World Tier upgrade to satisfy the players who were looking for more of a challenge, not less. I guess the devs are trying to make up for that by adding some more Legendary missions, but that feels like a half-measure at best.
