What if you are chilling by the cows on the open field? Cook all you want, there's about to be a dead body in the kitchen one way or another. 😉Originally Posted by AceOfHaze Go to original post
If you are having trouble taking out the enemy plane (or have a plane that doesn't have guns) just ram into him and kill both of you. It counts.
I ALMOST had the enemy plane down in health and accidentally hit him head-on. We both died, but I respawned on the ground. And it counted as a kill! I got to continue on after that.
I mean, if you're really having a tough time, just suicide into him and continue the mission.
Another reason why I copy the saved game folder to another drive every so often. In cases like this you can go back a bit in time and redo portions of the game without losing all your progress.Originally Posted by mombof Go to original post
I've read the OP and subsequent posts, but I dont see an answer to my problem. Know this game has a sequel about to hit, but I still need help. I too did not finish the Wingman missions. So, when I finished The Atonement it shoved me straight into The wrath. I spawn into the mustang, I can start flying to shoot down John. There is NO NICK EVER. I can fly and fight and no matter what I do, very little damage done and I get slammed by him every time. I can fly and avoid to give nick more time to come in like the walkthroughs say he will do if you havent completed the flying missions first. PLEASE WTF am I supposed to do? Am I suppose to be able to beat him without Nick. Why does he resist damage so much like I'm not strong enough. I have the 13,000 resistance points required to be slammed into the Falls End with out completing ant Nick offering missions. Maybe someone could just answer me this, am I supposed to beat John in his plane without the help of Nick the pilot? Why isn't he saying anything like, I can help, pick me, Nick, the only one so far who says he can fly? I ain't new to this. Finished 4 when it came out. I've just about cleared the map to include most of the prepper stashes and side missions, so with that said, WTF AM I MISSING HERE BEFORE I THROW THE DIGITAL COPY OF THIS OUT MY WINDOW.
You should be able to beat John, to me it is easy, without Nick. One of the first things to do when fighting him is to make sure you can fly the plane well, the second is to SLOW DOWN almost to the point of stalling, and if all else fails, turn down the difficulty.
I don't know the control scheme you are using, but you may also check your options to see if anything makes it easier for you to control the plane. And technically, you don't actually have to be in the plane to kill him, if you have homing missiles then bail out and lock on while parachuting down and blow him away. To me he honestly isn't that hard to kill, but then I have played a good bit and not much is hard in this game to me anymore. Guess that is what happens when you play enough to have a maxed character...ie infamous NG plus full maxed and can't spend any more perk points.
