Free roam loses its fun. Been trying to complete challenges with grenade kills, aerial kills, allies getting kills, etc. But the map is so painfully empty now that it's liberated.
Yeah, outposts can be reset, but only once liberating all outposts. That's just not the same as some free roam fun.
Unfortunately everything earns you resistance points so I can't even stick to just side missions and leave the bosses for last.
Won't this become a major issue when live events begin?
Yeah, I got stuck on Jacob's final trial - I hate timed missions - so I'm pottering around in Henbane River and Holland Valley, but as you say, there's nothing to do. Cultists show up really rarely, and when they do, there are only two or three and they just sit there waiting to be killed. I kinda wish the game allowed a group of cultists to try to recapture outposts. Wasn't that something they did in Far Cry 4?
Also, I wish they would go back to the way Far Cry 4 did outpost resets - individually. Resetting every outpost means you get sucked in to liberating outposts that were a chore.
As with Primal, I find Far Cry 5 is not as good as Far Cry 4. I suspected North America wouldn't have that "exotic" quality that previous Far Cry games had, but I was expecting a bit more in terms of long-term playability. There's just nothing to do.
I feel kinda the same, i started an new game after completing it. Now i basically don't do story missions, i do side missions and prepper stashes until i run out of those and then ill do the story missions...Originally Posted by Pr0metheus 1962 Go to original post
Other than that, a new game+ feature would be nice or something like that. Because like you said long-term playability is very limited. Arcade is a bit fun but the maps are very small and you can finish most created maps in couple minutes...
