Xbox One X here and I've noticed this happening since update 1.07Originally Posted by userone2012 Go to original post
Hi. I waited a looong time before getting the game and now I regret not getting it sooner. But on the other hand, then I would be finished with it...
Anyhow, regarding finding/looting the game you kill in Farcry 5 - -it is one of two things that frustrate me alot as the ratio kill/income fluctuates so much it takes away fun and a sense of independent achievement, which is terrible as I usually love to roam a free world like this and explore and to take photos or record clips while at the same time stumbling on side-quests to continue the MAIN QUEST-LINE at my pleasure (or own device, I don't know which).
Although this open world is much more scripted in comparison to for example Wildlands in favor of the main story which is beyond me unless I factor in company greed in which the logic may say: "the quicker the consumer finishes the main story, the quicker he/she might throw more money Ubisoft's way for additional content instead of re-playing the MAIN GAME for all the content missed. If this were to be true then that's a diabolical company strategy in line with Star Wars Battlefront II's pay-to-win Battlechests (removed after community and journalistic uproar) and the PLAGUE that has completely overtaken us consumers screwing us greatly by jacking up the price two-, two-and-a-half fold for what was before included from the beginning. I am talking about Season Pass year 1, year 2 etc - this DESPITE that the middleman (STORES) are now out of the picture, which SHOULD have meant lower prices but instead game-distributors basically removed/removed for example the awesome and physical COLLECTOR'S EDITIONS (when WoW came out with new expansions post-vanilla I couln't wait for the soundtrack-CD, the beautiful ARTBOOK and more, for example, and the price for it was usually double the normal game) as the store-sales plummeted towards the abyss. They then created a demand for a product (first by introducing the "Digital Collector's Edition" and jacked up the price for the physical one even more.
This evolved eventually to what that today is of incredibly low value if you compare for example the value of HALF-LIFE or BALDUR'S GATE back in the days. Hundreds of people engaged, just like today, and hundreds of hours of gameplay, but for half the price. Sure, times have changed, inflation, wages etc. But they make you feel like you are missing out a great deal if you POOR LITTLE YOU only can afford the STANDARD edition, not the GOLD or PLATINUM or the SPECIAL DEVELOPER'S A.I. INFUSED EASTER EGG EXTRAGAVANZA SUPER LOTTERY EDITION.
This has as well given rise to a big, big game-house flaw in the design of sequels within a franchise, such as Farcry. Especially when GAME XYZ 3, usually always is a disappointment compared to the HYPE, however upgraded technically (there will only be ONE DAIKATANA), more of before BUT with different main characters, basically the opposite method of how to create a sequel that actually can and must compete with the original game's affect it had on the community. If you decode the interviews with developer's during production, it is actually laughable how cliche' their statements are, as if the project is named $$$ and each milestone #1 MIN $ OUT MAX $ IN (look at Godfather II and Empire strikes back, two sequels that actually surpassed its predecessor in both revenue AND appreciation). Sequels should focus on character development and let OUR HERO save a NEW PRINCESS ANYWHERE, now from an even BADDER BAD-*** VILLIAN, so you identify with the GOOD VS EVIL NARRATIVE, i.e. evoke feelings to take you to the immersive level of getting the chance to walking in his shoes and see if you can live up to what it takes to be a real HERO, despite that the narrative of the game constantly tells you that there are no heroes left in the world. In other words, YOU are not the actual hero, but you want to be and you want to be even a better one. More of just the same with different characters, bigger explosions and now with the all new REALISTIC PAIN THROUGH ELECTRIC SHOCK TO THE BRAIN THROUGH VR won't cut it and will, I predict become an avalanche of consumer's taking their money elsewhere whilst singing "We're not gonna take it".
I got sidetracked there, sorry about that.
My two complaints.
1. Hunting. Can't find the cadaver to loot. Plus, if it is a de-spawn thing, then why the hell have they coded so that the cadaver slides 20-30 feet down a not even steep hill??? The graphics make it so there is no way in hell you can track to what place the cadaver slides too, and then while looking, it is no where to find!!!
2. Maybe I am playing the game wrong but if I take a really nice car and park it strategically out of harms way before taking on an outpost, I would assume the game takes for granted to I lock the dam car. But nooo, either the car is stolen or de-spawns after the take-over is finished. What a time-sink and a gamewise "plothole".
Sincerely.
PC Player here.
The despawn and the respawn are all out of balance.
Animals dead or wounded disappear, while on the roads you turn around to find a new encounter, where a couple of seconds ago you just had an older one.
Ubisoft should decrease the respawn and increase the time and numbers before despawn.
I agree with @AlexAfarCry.
* Roadblocks spawn and despawn within seconds of turning away then turning back.
* Vehicles (supply, prison vans, tankers) disappear when being chased.
* Peggie control points (ie side of road/intersections) are magically respawned almost as soon as they have been cleared. This spawn/despawn trope kind of ruins the immersion of the game.
* Hope country is a war zone and a such I feel that wreckage/bodies should stay around a lot lot longer than they do.
* Pursuers give up to when you are being chased.
* Joseph is supposed to be the kingpin yet his presence in the game is very small.
* Your character is mute and that also limits game immersion
* The DLC has no relation to the game except by some small character reference.
* DLC in my opinion should expand the original game and not be some addon arcade game
So much could be done to improve the game we have.
P.S. Played on PC
