I've just spent half an hour on hunting and while I'm positive that shot animal died(I shoot it in the head and saw it falling down and not moving, through my sniper scope) I only come back with 1/3 hunted animal skins just because when I shot down few animals in the row, carcas of only few of them remains on the ground. Why is that?
I can confirm on PC that enemy and hunt kills despawn erratically, many times disappearing before you can find them to loot (playing on high-end PC hardware so no lack of resources). This is more frustrating for hunt kills, and I'd like to see the despawn timer/priority of the hunts increase.
This happens to me too, but only if I turn my view, so the shot animal/NPC is not on the compas in the top part of the screen. When I look back in the direction the shot animal/NPC were, it is now gone. This sometimes happens with live animals/NPC's too.
Solution = never look away![]()
It's bad. It got to the point that I was shooting dear, skunks, elks, generally hunting, from this lookout point on the tree, shot 5 of them on a row with my sniper gun(saw them killed via the scope and everything), when I climed down to get the skins only 2 of those killed animals were still there
I dony know how about rest of the people here, but I'm playing on the 8core PC with GTX1080ti(so not the case of the lack of resources as well)
