Sorry, I'm a PC player, so not sure about console controls. I think down on the D-pad is throw rock from what I can tell, and R1 should be throw explosive. So in theory you need to open your weapon wheel (L1), highlight the explosive you want to use then let go of L1, which will close the weapon wheel. Then press R1 to throw the explosive.

Not sure, though, as I'm unable to test. Hopefully a console player will be able to help further.

Thanks so much, St.Million. The pc controls appear to be opposite of the console.I reversed your instructions and it worked perfectly. Thanks again.

    I'm on PC also.

Whew! Thank the Gaming gods I've never thrown an explosive when I meant to throw a rock, or crouch (5 (nade) & 6 (rock) & 2 (crouch) number pad keys)! More than a 1000 times anyway!

    60+ Change

Older too and having a heck of a time figuring the grenades out too. I think this answered it for me.
Just bought the game a couple nights ago. Really enjoying it. FC4 was way to complicated and gave up
after a month of not getting it down. Need to go find the Lion from Peaches Taxidermy the old grump woman
sent me to get. Like the dog, but want something a little more lethal. Fun game

Finally, just make sure your mouse wheel button is set/configured to middle-click - especially Microsoft mice do not default to middle-click hence change that in the mouse driver

    Works well

Perfect answer. Yes - in my case - I downloaded the Logitech SetPoint software so I could change the mouse configuration to have a Third Button - works perfectly.
