Now, after playing 9h found out that there is no quest progression in coop game. Ridiculously silly decision.
But it goes even worse. Skill are not updated if you'r not a host.
As an example weapon holster unlock skill is dependant on killing a boos of a region. We finished one region and host got the skill, but not all other who played together all this time.
Also weapons aren't unlocked either. Same for companions like a dog or bear.
It saves only for host.

Good questions, but I suspect it is their vision of the game. Mistaken in my opinion, but there it is. I read about it before making the decision as whether to purchase or not, so I kept my money.
I fail to understand the reasoning behind not following the same tried and tested methods of coop gameplay found in most other progression-based games, including Division and Wildlands. You won't get and answer here, or anywhere for that matter. I follow the game just in case changes are made to make it suitable for my friends and I to play, but it seems we will all be keeping our money for something else.
