yea i'd like to know this as well....especially since half your achievements are for solo campaign and i got this game for the co op feature. now i feel that feature is pointless since achievements don't count for co op campaign. kind of annoyed if i just have to start all over

Apparently, from what I have read this game follows the trend set in previous Far Cry games, in that you can reset outposts only, but you cannot start a new game carrying over all of your spoils from your previous playthrough. I had posted in these very forums my request for a New Game Plus feature, along with my justifications for such an add-on which were extremely reasonable, and that request fell on Deaf Ears, obviously.

Listen, for me personally, the "grind" is my least favorite part of these games, of which I have beaten every single FC game with the exception of Primal. I enjoy the shooting and the hunting (and now fishing as well), and the story. So, since so much of these games involves that grind, once I have beaten them, I have zero interest in replaying them. I am somebody who loves replaying games, especially games with a New Game Plus option, I enjoy running around wrecking things, and completely maxing out every weapon and power the game offers. This is not, normally, something that can be done in a single playthrough. As well, playing certain sequences in a different order, and by simply replaying them at all, can often lead to picking up parts of the story that you may have missed on your first playthrough. I have replayed numerous massive open world games, including but not limited to Horizon Zero Dawn, Okami, Assassin's Creed Origins, and all of the Mass Effect games (each of which I have beaten countless times on every system those games were released on), the Ratchet and Clank series, and the list goes on and on. I have beaten, and then replayed each of these games numerous times, and every one of them have one thing in common, they offer New Game Plus, but do not force it upon you, you can choose to replay the game carrying over all of your powers, or you can start over from scratch if the grind is part of what you love about the game. Having laid this out on numerous forums, and knowing that a lot of people feel the exact same way I do about the grind involved in leveling up your character, and the push that having to replay that grind might give some players to simply not replay the game, by refusing to give players this option, it simply tells me that the FC developers, along with the Just Cause devs and many others, simply do not care if you replay their game, or even if you buy it on multiple systems, just as ling as you buy it.

So, sadly, unless they change this, with either an update to FC5 or in the followup FC6, and offer us a choice to play with NG+ or not, then FC5 will be the last FC game I buy, and I am only buying it on one system, versus the multiple systems I purchased each of the previous FC games on, only to have all of them remain unplayed, except the game on the initial system it purchased for. FC5 will be purchased on one system for me, and will be my final FC game purchased and played, without the offering of NG+, and I hate saying that but clearly messages on countless forums didn't work, so I am left with no other choice at this point. Too many other games out there that offer what I am looking for in a game, to have to settle for something less.

I mean the witcher 3 didnt have NG+ but after request they simply added this feature.

Dead Rising games had it aswell. I dont see the problem why the y wouldnt add a NG+ but lets hope they are changing it.

Agree, this game really needs a NG+

Assassins Creed Origins added it, I am hoping FC5 will follow that same path. Especially since this game is going to have Live Events that I am assuming will offer rewards such as new weapons, I don't really see the point in the live events if you've already beaten the game.

I agree as well. An NG+ mode should have been in the game since release especially given what they learned with AC:O.

Exactly, what he said! I mean, if they expect people to spend real world money, in order to attain weapons faster, then they should absolutely be able to carry those weapons into a second playthrough. Asking people to spend real money on weapons with what amounts to is a one time use. Nobody in their right mind will do that, especially if they are fully told going in that those weapons will not carry over into subsequent playthroughs. I don't really have an issue with companies giving people an option to buy weapons with real money, so long as they can continue to use those weapons every time they start a new game. Deus Ex MD does this, and it is ok if people want to spend that money, but offering them an option to buy game funds with real money, which can then be used to purchase in-game weapons and upgrades, without explicitly telling people that you can only use those weapons one time is borderline criminal imo.

Folks in GRW have been crying out for newgame+ since almost launch and it's still not even being considered. Why have a shop when you aren't going to give the game the longevity it needs to be an incentive to buy from that shop. I really hope they reconsider and re-evaluate their stance on this.
