I'm on the mission "Wrath", where I have to shoot down John Seed's plane. I've tried several times (on Easy!) and just can't do it. The best I've gotten is to give it about 2/3rd damage and then either we collide or my plane blows up. Is there some simpler way to beat this mission. I cannot quit the mission so right now I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated.
OK, I finally got past this mission, when the third time I collided with John's plane, instead of just restarting the mission, it put me back in my plane with John's plane destroyed. I guess the game final felt sorry for me![]()
I have a bigger issue. During one my attempts my plane went down (bad flying *covers face*) and didn't blow up so I hopped out because the plane was stuck in some trees on the ground. Now I can't get another plane as John Rye mission was never done. I tried fighting in a helicopter but that was a big disadvantage. Is there any way to get a plan to complete the mission?Originally Posted by jztemple7 Go to original post

I manged to shoot John Seed down, but I have to say that I was HORRIFIED when flying an Aircraft against him. The Aircraft Mechanics are an utter failure and all the Maneuvers I tried were very difficult to execute due to the lack or responsiveness of the Aircraft to my commands. I am a quite an experienced WW 2 Flight Simulator Pilot and here is what I have to criticise when it comes to the Flight Mechanics.
- Boom and Zoom is something I always try to achieve when I happen to gain the Altitude Advance, but how do you accomplish this when your Aircraft is not as responsive as it should be?
- performing an Immelmann in Order to become the Hunter is something nearly impossible to achieve.
- Gun Convergence is something that needs to be looked at when it comes to setting up the Aircraft
- Also the lack of Armor Piercing / Incendiary Ammo for the Aircraft is not an option.
In Short: the Aircraft is not as responsive as it should be. Also... there is no support for Joystick and Track IR. Also... even a Fokker Eindecker (WW 1 Aircraft) and a Messerschmitt BF 109 / P 51 Mustang perform 1000 times better than the Aircrafts in Far Cry 5. Dear Ubisoft, this is a serious problem which needs to be addressed.
I bought a seaplane at a local shop.Originally Posted by iAmdtr0uble Go to original post
