Hey, everyone! Steve from RedLynx here. Today is a big day in Phone Destroyer history! As of today, Friendly Fights have come to South Park: Phone Destroyer! The road to releasing this feature was a little bumpier than we had hoped, but now this highly anticipated feature has arrived!
GHOSTS OF THE PAST
Improved Legendary Lockers
As we previously mentioned, we will be improving the drop rate for Legendary lockers. This will definitely be happening, but unfortunately the planned release for this improvement was postponed due to a bug with the feature. This bug will be fixed as quickly as possible, and we will be releasing these improvements as soon as we are able. We appreciate the continued patience.
TODAY
Friendly Fights
As of today, players will be able to fight their friends to try new strategies, or see who the best Phone Destroyer truly is! In Friendly Fights, card levels will be set according to card rarity, so players will be able to play with an even field. In Friendly Fights, Legendary Cards will all be level 1, Epic Cards will be level 2, Rare Cards will be level 3, and Common Cards will be level 4.
While players won’t receive rewards for fighting their friends, Friendly Fights will allow players to test out new strategies with similarly powerful cards, and also allow players to practice and sharpen their skills and new tactics without the worry of losing rank.
So get out there, and start kicking some friendly asses!
THIS WEEK
Developer Livestream
The weekly developer stream has been CANCELLED due to a public holiday here in Finland. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to reschedule. Next week, the developer stream should proceed at the normal time.
Team Event
This weekend, there will also be a team event for you to participate in so that you can earn some awesome prizes with your team, in addition to beating them up in Friendly Fights! This event is scheduled to begin Thursday evening UTC so you’ll have plenty of time to join other teams for some friendly fights, then head back to your team for the event!
NEXT MONTH
Next month, we’re hoping to release a new update that will bring performance improvements, bug fixes, minor features, and other quality of life improvements. One feature we will be implementing has to do with the way in which players purchase card packs, offers, and other things which can be purchased for in-game currency.
Our next update will make the chances of various loot drops visible for offers and card packs purchased with in-game currency. This will help players to make more informed decisions regarding their purchases in South Park: Phone Destroyer. This will be available on both Android and iOS devices.
More information on the improvements, fixes, and minor features to be added with this update will be made available once we are closer to the release, and testing has commenced.
At this time, that’s about all the info we have for you, but we look forward to playing you all in Friendly Fights soon, and hope you and your teams enjoy the feature!
Until next time, I’ll see you on the streets of South Park!
Love,
Steve🚀

I'm sorry, but if the developers think that friendly battles is going to save this game in the long run, they are sorely mistaken. You really believe that while most players can't even hit locker limit every day or don't bother putting in the time because the rewards are often so low, they are going to waste time in matches that don't give any rewards? Most will give it a try, but than won't bother with it after a few days.
What we need, among many things but this is for me the most important one, is a way to downgrade our cards and recover all the mats and coins invested so we can try new decks without fear of waisting very, very, very hard earned mats and coins in an upgrade system that is trully brutal. The sad truth is that if this wasn't a South Park game I, and many others, wouldn't have even tried this game and if I had, I would have quit after a few weeks max. For a single player RPG like Stick of Truth and Fractured Butt Hole, one can accept the accually pretty weak gameplay, because it is compensated by the humor and isn't long enough to get annoying or boring, but for an online pvp game one cannot. My deck hasn't changed for a month and without the Mystical nerff it would have been thr same 3 months. And I constantly face the same decks.
I understand that the developers want to make money so they can't just shower everybody with cards, mats and coins. But f2p and paying players, perhaps super-whales excluded, face the same problems when it comes to upgrading cards, which is killing creativity and destroying the game by boredom. And this won't get them any money either.
Hi Steve,
Great work on the friendly pvp mode, pretty fun to play!
However these matches are not really representative of the real game's dynamic for the legendary players.
I love the idea that everyone has the same lvl cards whatever their own real in-game lvl but unfortunately the cards current level gradation doesn't allow legendary players to test decks in good & realistic conditions (which is sad since it's the main selling argument of the feature).
Would you consider to offer the possibility to play friendly games with the following cards level?
- common lvl6
- rare lvl5
- epic lvl4
- legendary lvl3
That would allow the most engaged players to play at the same speed and with the same ''nervousness'' as in competitive pvp![]()
Thanks!
I would love friendly pvp with the actual levels of our cards. It's fun to experiment with different decks, but it's pretty unrealistic for all the other decks we tested to be viable in Real Pvp Rank Matches.. Also, mystic is total crap with all the levels preset. Poison outdamages regenerations heal.
I agree that there is nothing else to play in mystic decks except Cartman, Stan, Wendy, Ninjew, Bebe, Butters (assasin which has 10 dmg/hp less than common assasins, but with his deathrattle he cost you 1 energy), Purify and Regeneration. But isnt it enough for solid deck? Other themes has also quite a lot unplayeble cards at the friendly fights (unless you and your opponent playing randomized decks). You have level 4 purify against poison, which actually cost 1 energy less. With level 3 regeneration you get only 40 dmg in 10 seconds from poison (which has restricted area in compare to regen), not a big deal. Also if you are experienced mystic player you probably know how easy to play around poison with proper positioning.Originally Posted by pdinh26 Go to original post
