Folks (with Nvidia cards),
Try new driver from Nvidia (released yesterday). I believe this should fix Far Cry 5 crashing issues. Personally, I'm not seeing any issues since yesterday after I installed it.
The driver release notes also addresses the same:
Fixed Issues in this Release
[GeForce GTX 1060][Far Cry 5]: The game crashes after a few minutes of game play.[2096077]
Windows 10 Issues
[Far Cry 5]: Green flickering occurs in the game when using HDR with non-native
resolution.

Good luck!
Constant yet random crashes from 5min to 30min in., it's unfortunate that no error code is shown to help narrow down and it simply says to report to UBI. Tried various Nvidia drivers (uninstall/install, new and old). Uninstalled/Reinstalled the game as well. Next step will be compatibility mode and limiting to certain cores.
Ryzen Threadripper 1950x
GTX 970
I would log on to my game and start doing something fun then my game gets a whole bunch of lag and then it crashes. I can't do anything without my games crashing. I am to the point that I won't buy any games from Ubisoft again because only Ubisoft games are crashing on me. I have a good Pc and it won't go any longer than 20 minutes without crashing.
tl;dr: I'm quite sure it isn't the game, and Ubisoft if your game doesn't work just say so instead of blaming my system.Originally Posted by LittleBear-101 Go to original post
Since you've revived this, let me say a few things.
Far Cry 5 specifically was playable without errors after 4 or 5 months from the launch day. If you're getting errors today, it does make it seem like a problem you could fix somehow, not a game problem. I myself had no errors a few days ago just messing around.
I don't really want to support Ubisoft either, not because the game was basically unplayable (mistakes happen), but because they refused to help me by saying my system didn't meet the minimum requirements. I was having a pleasant 60FPS experience between the many crashes, if you don't know what's going on and can't help me or don't know how at the moment just say so, don't put the blame on my system after I supported you by preordering the complete edition of the game.
When they finally fixed the game I had no problems using my supposedly not supported processor.
Though to this day I haven't finished the main story or played the DLCs, when I think of Far Cry 5 I just feel ripped off and stressed.
