Just another event that was puzzling in that after 2 team mates have connected to the extraction, a 3rd member of the team, who had not put anything on the rope, goes rogue and can cut the rope on his own teams extraction. Won't fall for this ploy again, will either just leave and they can chase me or wait till the last few seconds to hopefully hook on as it goes out.
But really a guy can cut his own teams rope, it worked as it got me to hook on and I lost everything, well 9 caches, about 20 minutes work as it is all available after it goes on the rope.
But it kind of worked in my favour as I then went into the UG in DZ 1, to chase quick replacement purple caches and Claxton dropped me a good stat and talented House which is now my main weapon and it took only 150 Div tech to optimize.
So I think a fair trade of mainly purple caches and a few golds, 9 in total for a really good House weapon, yeah I'll take that deal thanks.
They were a team because as soon as the guy starts cutting the rope and I launch a grenade and start firing the other 2 go rogue and open fire on me, so an established ploy but for crap as all I had were mainly purple caches and some gold ones. Yeah, for a change it eventually felt good to get some Karma and find a House weapon as I did not intend to go into the DZ UG at that time.
That's nothing new, unfortunately. Nowadays, it's not possible to kick a teammate out, as easily and fast as it used to, since you can only suggest it and the remaining players need to vote on it. Before, however, there were lots of players (3-player groups) out there matchmaking for a random player to show up, just so they could kick him out and melt him in a couple of seconds. It even happened to me once, during 1.3. I admit I should've noticed something was off, because the three of them were all there outside just staring at the door, but as soon as I got out of the checkpoint, I was instantly kicked from the group and summarily executed. It was the first time I witnessed this in person, so the possibility never even crossed my mind at that point.Originally Posted by yamxt6002016 Go to original post
You see a lot of players around here complaining about similar betrayals. Learn from their example and experience. Always keep an eye out for weird behaviour, such as teammates circling you for no reason or just standing there doing nothing. They might be getting ready to leave the group and turn on you.
I think a lot of these problems, if not all related to them, would be solved if the developers made sure that any player that is kicked or leaves a group, was instantly transferred to his/her own server and to a checkpoint or safe house (whatever is closer). Unfortunately, solving these type of problems, isn't their goal. They're interested in this kind of toxic behaviour and pushing players against other players.
