I could seriously even let the whole car thing go, but for me the most baffling thing is how enemies on the ground spot and recognize you when you fly a plane over them. How? How is that even possible?! I even tested this with a plane that has the cult symbols on it and again they instantly know it's the big bad deputy Rook behind the stick.Originally Posted by IIIIIMAU5 Go to original post
Then I decided to fly a low pass over their heads in a wingsuit just to fool around and test AI reaction. Behold, now I was suddenly invisible! The cultists will see inside a airplane cockpit and recognize who is piloting the plane, but won't recognize the satan incarnate Rook flying over them like a god damn bat.
This is just lazy design and this does not belong in a AAA title from a major publisher.
I also agree with everyone here - it's crazy and over the top. It's much more dangerous to get from point A to point B on the map than it is to take out an enemy outpost. I actually find taking outposts much more relaxing than travelling on the map.
Those animals need their health cut down significantly - it's madness to take one on with a bow since stealth headshots don't kill most of them. They also have a bad habit of running away before you can empty your magazines into them. If you try to chase them you'll end up with cultists also on your tail trying to kill you as you're trying to kill the damn animal.
One thing that really bugs me is that when you take an outpost all the bodies of enemies disappear and you are unable to loot them. I've taken to killing and looting them one at a time so I don't miss out on so much loot.
With the roads I've discovered that if you use the autodrive function and keep the accelerator down and don't slow down or stop for anything you can usually get to your destination more or less intact. Not a stealthy option, but stealth is really hard to maintain in this game with the hundreds of hyper alert enemies.
I've found that aircraft can be good too, although it's rather amusing to hear any passengers you have talk about spotting nearby peggies while you're flying several thousand feet above the ground - and vice versa with cultists on the ground.
Maybe change to Easy difficulty setting if you are struggling on Normal?
I'm really loving this game and I find the difficulty level fine, just a case of being stealthy, you can hear the cultists most of the time anyway on foot, so I just flank around them.
Is there any way to switch off the "seeing-through-solid-objects" thing? Its really quite annoying and breaks the immersion.
I'm glad others have noticed the overly-alert AI as well.
When I got 'spotted' while drivng a cult vehicle, I thought it must have been a bug.
The other annoying thing I've found is that, when I die while taking out enemies near a compound, I then spawn in, within a few feet of multiple enemies. Surely I should be respawned a bit further away>
Note for the DEVS:
- Enemys shouldnt spot you while you are flying miles over their heads
- Alert-Level or Enemy Awareness should be much slower (I want to drive past them without beeing spoted)
- Weapons should have a better range
- Animals shouldnt be sponges for bullets
This is all I need for now.
Thanks
