It isn't clear whether the other posters had any luck getting this resolved, but my friend and I started playing over the weekend and are experiencing the same connectivity issues. We bought this specifically for multiplayer and the game is unplayable in co-op. We're getting snowshoe, bookworm, and willow error codes. It takes 5-10 attempts to even get into a co-op session, and then the connection is incredibly unstable. Client death will cause them to be booted back to the main menu, but often the session will error out after a few minutes regardless of what's going on in the game.

We've already gone through the troubleshooter and there don't appear to be any conflicts with our setup that could be causing this. Multiplayer connectivity is flawless with all other games and apps, using the same PS4s and identical network setups. Only Far Cry 5 isn't functional.

I opened a support ticket a few minutes ago with more detail, but when I attempted to provide our save data with the ticket, the contact form size limit prevented the zip from uploading. Hopefully a Google Drive link will suffice.

Thanks for creating a ticket CtrlAltDeviant! It looks like they're requesting a screenshot of your forwarded ports, which you can attach by following these steps.

Getting someone in support to break the copy/paste generic response cycle and notice the actual details of our case was a big headache. I'm following up here with our solution in hopes of saving someone else the same frustration.

The situation seems to be that the specific ports Ubi's servers use for multiplayer are partially blocked by some routers. All the agents who responded stated that port forwarding would be necessary, however you can't port forward the same range to two network clients (PS4s in this case). We are apparently in the unique set of circumstances where we both game from the same router, AND have a router that blocks some of Ubi's ports by default.

After hours of back and forth, ultimately the suggested workaround was placing one of the PS4s in the DMZ and port forwarding with the other PS4 (UDP: 9000, 9103, 12000, 11110, 11115 & TCP: 443). It's a far from ideal fix, but so far that's the only solution that's reliably worked.

For context, we've been simultaneously gaming online with a shared router (via multiple consoles and PCs) for well over a decade and have never run into this conflict before. Either there's something exceptional about Ubi's server configuration, or we've just been unbelievably lucky with every other multiplayer experience prior to this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

NO! I've been on this for close to 2 months and UBI is doing nothing about it. They told me is my save file was already on cloud then there is no way of fixing it at all. Thank you very much UBI

    Same issue-new dawn

I'm having the same issue on new dawn, any fix would be great as I only bought this game (x2 copy's) so me and my misses can play together, so far an utterly useless waste of money, especially to find out this issue has been ongoing so long with little to no help on resolving. On Xbox one if it makes a difference??

OK, so at this point I have:

    1. Rebuilt database.
    2. Uninstalled/reinstalled a few times.
    3. Manually added a bunch of UDP port forwards as listed in a previous reply.
    4. Put the PS4 in a DMZ.
    5. Moved the installation from my external drive to internal.
    6. Tried installing on my spare PS4.
    7. Left my PS4s on overnight, disabling power saving features, and leaving the game running.
    8. Tried using VPN to connect via the US instead of my home UK connection to use regional servers.

The game still never gets beyond 51% installing full game features. Each time I install it it's randomly either 50% or 51% with some random fraction to 4 decimal places.

When is this issue going to be resolved? It does seem like you're no longer willing to host the remaining content for download at this point.

Other affected users, can you confirm if you're using the disc or downloaded versions?

Ooh, restoring licences in the PS 4 account management menu under settings has just fixed my issue. It's now downloading!
