Sound direction problem? Sound is coming from all around!

Hi there, anyone experienced this so far? You could have an NPC firing at you from the right hand side of the screen but the sounds doesn't come from that direction on the speakers. It seems to be coming from all around. I am using Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers and its the same for speakers or headphones. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks

    Same

I am having the exact same problem.

So, I've looked around and send threads from old games, but nothing from fc5 about this. So I'm not sure if it's just me.im using my g930 7.1 headphones and have no problem tracking in other games.

That said, I can't for the life of me track the enemies. They sound like they are everywhere when they talk. I tested this by getting near a group, and spinning in a slow circle as they talked, they didn't sound like their position changed at all. Later it really effected my ability to defend my position as I was engaged with an enemy straight ahead of me, I ducked behind the wall, but kept getting hit. It wasn't till I turned around and saw 3 men right behind me, and I couldn't even hear they were there or shooting me. I heard shots, but they sounded like the guy I was engaged with.

I can't even imagine playing multi-player like this. I have tried every setting change that I could, nothing helped. I can load any other game and have no issues.to make it worse I've spent more than 2 hours trying to fix this, so I can't even get a refund at this point.

    Anyone else having this?
Any hope of some real audio settings in game?
I may have posted the above in the wrong place, i couldn't see this thread on my mobile.

What audio driver are you using. Let's see if we can work out a pattern.

First noticed it with my desktop speakers which run on my Realtek drivers. That was why I switched to my G930 headset which runs on my Logitech drivers

I just got around to trying it on my G33 Logitech headphones and the directional sound is perfect. So currently only effecting the desktop speakers which use Realtek.

I did some more testing while I was a passenger in a car and found that I could here whether the driver was on the left or the right so I suppose directional audio is working but the volume level difference makes it very hard to tell which direction the noise is coming from
