Ubisoft advertised this game as a TRUE cooperative experience meaning, sychrionzied story progression, side quest completion and map discovery; yet all 3 of these things are not saved for BOTH players, only the host keeps progression.
I get this is for the lore being that you are the only surviving member left in your squad but in terms of gameplay this is an EXTREME let DOWN just like Far Cry 4 having the same exact issue.
Tldr: I wouldn't say sue Ubisoft for false advertising, like another user posted in a thread lol, but an update to AT LEAST SAVE SIDE QUEST PROGRESSION during co-op game play..
No, they didn't. Co-op has always been an add -on to the single player. The barely spoke about co-op until the end which should be an indicator of just how little relevance it had.Originally Posted by eat.. Go to original post
What you want doesn't sound workable, what would happen for example if someone who goes into the world of someone who has almost finished the game when they have just started. The approach they have taken is fine, count to ten or something, it's fun and that's the main thing.Originally Posted by eat.. Go to original post
i knew going into this that host is the one with progression and that it doesn't affect the game of the co-op partner save for perks and challenges and what not. do you not read up on features like this before buying a game?Originally Posted by eat.. Go to original post
my disappointment however comes with the fact there's a ton of solo campaign achievements that the host play now can't get because of the co-op. so the host player would have to either beat the game solo then do solo then restart co-op or do co-op then restart solo. seems like a waste to do co-op as your first play through because you'll just have to start over from scratch and do it all again solo for any achievements
