I bought the game when released and played about 15h solo.
Since about four weeks (support ticket was opened at February, 24th) I can not start the game at all.
When I try to run the application from the installation directory after syncing the savegame or achievements the game ends and the uplay mask appears.
Same when run via the uplay mask.
I verified the game files multiple times, installed the newest gpu drivers, disabled the antivirus and even reinstalled the whole game.
Cloud save synchronization is disabled.
Windows is up to date.
Turned of the second screen and deleted the cache file.
I uninstalled and reinstalled easy anti-cheat.
I also bought the game on steam to test if it would help but the problem persists via steam and uplay.
Nothing helped and unfortunately two of my friends play in coop now and I can not join because the game doesn't start at all.

Hey EarthW4lker! I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing crashing. I'll pass your ticket to the correct department. Thank you for your patience.
Hello Ubisoft - Support,
i don't know if anyone read my last post, but it would be nice to have any reaction from you. It's day number four now without a solution with starting wildlands...
Here is my last post within another thread:

Please help!
My Support-Ticket is: 06081168
Four days would be a delight. According to the post from ubisoft support it took them four WEEKS to get my ticket to the correct department.
Meanwhile it is easter and my friends continue to play coop for the long weekend and I'm sitting here waiting that they are so far advanced that I will play alone again because I am not able to start the game...
Just delete cache folder from uplay launcher.
It's somewhere in here C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher
Thank you for the advice but unfortunately it did not work for me.
I deleted the "cache" folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher
I deleted the "savegames" folder in the same directory.
I deleted the "Tom Clancy Ghost Recon Wildlands" folder under Documents\My Games (was empty before).
I tried to start the game via the uplay mask, via the desktop icon (uplay://launch/1771/0) and via the GRW.exe
All ended in the same result, the game didn't start and all I saw was the uplay spotlight and the mask.
I also checked the folder ...\Ubisoft Game Launcher\data\1771 as mentioned in the desktop icon. The folder is empty.
When I tried to start the game via GRW.exe for about a second I can see a new file GRW.exe.local,then it disappears and I see the uplay mask again.
I managed to get the game going again by renaming that cache folder but I still get the annoying message that I can't sync cloud saves...Any idea's about that ?Originally Posted by Kertukos Go to original post
I've got the same problem.
I bought the game last night for 33 gold edition it was for sale so i passed on to buy it.
Yet i installed it yesterday, this morning i couldn't even start the game.
It just won't launch.
I've deleted my cache searched trough the database from the easyanticheat that might block something in my system or firewall.
But nothing.
Verified my files ofcourse nothing happened, only 1/4 Dx installation and cloud synch
After that turned off the cloud synch and still nothing unfortunatly...
Hi everyone,
i am at a point now, after endless tries of deleting cache and other stuff. uninstalling and reinstalling the game. BTW it is about 70 gig every time. FML.
so like this threat says, wildlands doesn't start. not at all.
I uninstalled it again and went on looking for a solution. couldn't find one.
So i have decided NOT to reinstall it again and on top of that i won't buy another game published by ubisoft - as i will go on and tell everybody that i know NOT to buy any of the games that require uplay or a published by ubisoft. did the same with EA.
I am personally just done UPlay and this behavior of not doing Code right. So for future games of Ubisoft i want to play i will get them from alternative sources ;-) and if they are buggy as heck then, well at least i didn't pay for them.
Best regards.
I just discovered that I can start the "admin_console" in Uplay.
With the command list-games I see my playable games and Ghost Recon Wildlands is listed there.
With the command play Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands I just get the message "Unable to start the game"
play Tom Clancy's The Division works fine and I get the message "the game has been started" just before the game starts.
I couldn't believe when the console shows "commands disabled by a failed QC check". TO fail a QC Check there has to be a QC-department.
FIX THIS PROBLEM.
