Keeps crashing and spitting out disc

All day I've been dealing with this - it will randomly say the disc cannot be read and then crash the game, spitting the disc out. Every other disc I have works fine, and also another friend of mine is having this same issue. I live in the US and he lives in the UK. The game appears to be fully installed, but when I go to the main menu (if I can get there without it spitting out the disc), it says like 60% installed and is just crawling, crashing and spitting the disc out randomly.

My PS4 is fine, I figure, because everything else plays fine on it, but trying to play Far Cry 5 has just been causing consistent crashes all day. I even went to the store and exchanged it for another disc. So now I'm just sitting at my dashboard, listening to my disc drive pulse as it sloooowly installs in the background, and every once in a while firing up the game, hoping it doesn't crash, to check its install progress on the main menu. for real what is this?

Hey Darkdally! These steps may help with this issue. If they do not, please create a ticket. Thanks!

Can confirm that this was the same issue that was happening with me. The game appeared to be installed but the disc tray would make a whiring sound and then stop repeatedly. All in all it took me around 5 hours to install the game to my console and it seems to working now, touch wood, but this appears to be some kind of quality control issue with the discs. 3 discs over 2 continents on day one of release definitely sounds like a problem on Ubisoft's end to me
