Hi,
Anyone else having this issue? My game crashes when I pull out the map (not every time I pull it out, but every two or three, it's random, but always happens) when I play co-op with a friend.
Same thing happens no matter if I join his game or he joins mine. It doesn't happen when I play solo.
Anyone having the same issue? Even better - a solution?
Specs just in case:
i5 6600k, 16GB DDR4, 500GB SSD for the game and 2x GTX 1080 Ti (I've tried both with and without SLI) tried both the latest drivers (391.35) and whichever number it was in the previous driver
Edit: It actually crashes in any of the menus (inventory, roster, map, journal etc).
Edit 2: I seem to have spoken too soon. Disabling SLI seems to solve the co-op crashing. I still get the same fps with and without SLI though, which is weird.
Thanks for that information nu1mlock! Can you try these steps and see if they help? If they do not, please create a ticket with MSINFO and DXDIAG files. Thanks!
Hello
I have the same issue with the game; i7 6700K, 16GB, 2x GTX1070, Windows 10, 1440p, latest NVIDIA drivers updated as of today.
Was playing with a friend in Co-op (not as host), the Map consistently crashed when loading into new areas. Trader menus also crashed somewhat frequently when browsing weapons or trying to sell, as did other menus inside the game like the Journal or Perk Tree.
I tried the usual solutions like verifying game cache on Steam, did not work.
I have played about 10 hours of Co-op and about 6 hours of single player; in total, Co-op has crashed about 15 times due to these issues, single player is yet to crash however.
I hope there is a solution to this soon, I would like to enjoy the game with my friends.
Well, one thing we all have in common is that we're all using SLI. I thought I tried it yesterday, but perhaps something went wrong and maybe SLI didn't get disabled.
I'll give it another shot today when my friend gets home from work, but if any of you others could try disabling SLI and give it another go and report back, that would be very helpful.
Seeing it all works fine when I play solo, it's kind of weird that it would be SLI but far from impossible.
Edit: I've only played for about an hour and I've only opened the map a few times but it hasn't crashed yet without SLI.
My benchmark is also about the same (88fps at 1440p average compared to 91fps with SLI), so I doubt that SLI even works with the game.
SLI definitely functions with the game, I bench 92 FPS avg (82 FPS low, 105 FPS high) on 1440p maximum settings (motion blur off). I think you're being held back by your processor at 1440p, otherwise there's no other explanation for it. (I use an i7 6700K 4.5GHz stable since release).
Next time I'm able to play Co-op, I'll test without SLI and report back.
We all seem to have the very same and specific issue.
