playing on PC
so i have been trying to do the Lord of the wings race for 30 minutes now....can`t even reach the first ring!
i jump off and activate wing suit and aim for the first ring...only to go 5 meter below it and then keep dropping until i hit the ground....how do you get enough lift to reach the first ring? is there some key i have missed?
thanks for the tips..i got to ring 4-5 now...
but now i give up worst mission yet
the second you start to counter wind you drop like a stone and can`t recover.
games are suppose to be fun and challenging...not like this....not beeing able to control you character properly isn`t where the challenge should lie.
please make controls better so this mission is actually doable.
Did it on first try, very easy. You probably need to set "invert wingsuit pitch" to OFF in the general keyboard menu. That way key W will pitch you up, keeping your height, while the key S will pitch you down, lowering your height. It was impossible for me to play with inverted keyboard, as it is simply unnatural for my brain, having never played with inverted keys. You might have the same problem.
I also play on keyboard/mouse and think the Lord of Wings quest is hands down the worst quest in the whole Far Cry 5 game. And there's no tutorial on how to do it with keyboard mouse. It's ridiculous and unintuitive.
You need to run forward (shift-w)
Then you need to jump at the edge (space)
Then you immediately need to hit shift and followed right away by C (holding shift only will make you crash and die)
I hate this quest with a passion and am ignoring it for my sanity.
What pisses me off most is the videos of how to do the quest show people doing it with a controller. I wish the developers would have tried it with keyboard/mouse to see what a horrendous design job they did.
I've completely given up on this mission for now. I'm usually a completionist and like to do all the side missions, but the controls on this are so frustrating its simply not worth the aggravation. I'm genuinely surprised this mission survived beta testing in its current state.
