This is a message on behalf of a friend who can't post right now so I thought I'd do it for him as I've been trying to help fix his issue already.
Basically, we both decided to buy For Honor again as we used to play on Xbox but the server issues caused us to leave then game then come back now there are dedicated servers, but to the PC version this time. First day after purchasing the game we managed to play for a few hours, all was well, next time we came to play whoever uPlay told my friend that it could not find the game files and asked if they had been moved.
So of course he used the locate button
Which all worked fine
But when he goes to launch the game, gets the same error as the first image.
He as tried validating the files, restarting his computer, reinstalling uPlay and For Honor at least twice, disabling his Anti Virus and adding the For Honor folder to the exemption list, running both uPlay and For Honor as Administrator made sure its all installed on his C:/ Drive, nothing seems to be working. I noticed with my game that I could in fact load For Honor without using uPlay, just have uPlay open and boot it up using the ForHonor.exe file in the games folder, so I asked him to try that and he got a error saying that he does not have permission to open the file, even though his is the only user on his PC with full Admin privileges and was running the game as Admin, I think next we are going to try installing it on a different HDD as mine is on my D:/ Drive and works fine but thought I'd post this up here to see if anyone else might have any ideas? As I can't seem to find much help googling and the stuff I could find didn't work for him.
Thanks
Sorry can't see where I can edit my post, should have previewed this first, there should have been images in between the 3 lines, but for some reason the insert image button has let me down. or the URL has one or the other.

Hey DanteDenton, do these steps help?
I made a ticket bout this once . This happens when uplay gets closed before the game(For Honor) itself does. This is due to the issue the game sometimes not closing, so your friend have to chek it in the app. manager and close it manually.
Dunno why Uplay cant find the game if this happens, but a game integrity check solves this. Tough.. uplay will download 39 gigs of the game again....
UI.: U can make sure For Honor closed properly if uplay pops up and the little game news/sales window or what pops up too immidetly. If not then app. manager and force For Honor to close.
@ubisofttofu could u forward this issue to the Uplay or For Honor Dev team please?(I mean the problem that uplay cant find the game files for whatever reasons, since the files are there, but 39 gigs of game files from 48 gigs gets corrupted or whatever is strange.)
