OK.....I think I resolved the issue. It seems that the new Nvidia drivers are causing the game to crash, so the solution is to go and download the OLD drivers and install them. I downloaded the one from May of 2017 and my game has not crashed over an hour.

mine has been crashing too.. really annoying. at first i thought maybe my gpu was dying (it's not even a year old yet) but it only happens in fc5.. i guess i'll downgrade driver if this continues

Try and download an old driver because from what ive seen its something with the newest driver for far cry. so go to nvidia"s or amd" (whichever gpu you use) website and try that

Sorry to hear your games have been crashing!

Could you first please try disabling any background applications you may have open? Especially anything that's using an Overlay. E.g. Overwolf, Discord etc.

As some of you have mentioned that the issue started after updating your graphics drivers, it might be worth rolling back to the previous version for testing purposes.
If reverting to older drivers does work, could you please let us know and if possible provide us with a copy of your system files to our support site?

    Thanks
I can confirm rolling back the drivers solves the issue.

    Worked for me.

GTX1060 here and can confirm, rolling back to the January 2018 driver resolved my random crashing issue.

    Going to Wait

I have the same problem as everyone else. It freezes then sound comes back fro about 2 seconds then crashes. I have tried multiple things to try to fix this problem. I am convinced that this is on Ubisoft's side. I'm going to wait until this is acknowledged by Ubisoft, but until then I wont touch this game

Roll back the drivers and you can play. Or you will be waiting for a while. Had same issues, rolled back the drivers and no problem anymore.
