    Accessing Arcade without playing campaign?

Is there a way to access the Arcade without having to play through the campaign? So far it will only allow me to access the map editor. For Solo/Co-op/Multi-player, I get an error message, saying that it can only be accessed through the single player campaign.

Did Ubisoft actually manage to make PvP WORSE than what they've done in the past? What about people who don't want to play the campaign, is this Ubisoft's way to force them to do so?

Please someone tell me that I'm missing something here

You possibly only need to play the 1st mission? In FC4 you had to play a little while before coop unlocked.

If you start the campaign, I saw on youtube that if you do absolutely nothing then about 5 mins later the credits roll up. Maybe that will unlock the MP etc.

from what I understand, you have to re-take the town 'Fall's End' first before you can access Arcade. Once you've retaken this town from the cult, go to the bar and 'use' the arcade inside. Once you do that you'll have access to Arcade mode, even directly from the menu.

    Hey.
You need to complete Dutch's Island in order to unlock the full open world and Multiplayer modes (Campaign Coop and Arcade).
There will be a message that informs you of this after you complete the island; the island should take you about an hour max. to complete.

Man, I played the game for 2 hours and still had not completed the Island. I was bummed because I had to wait till midnight to get a look at the editor, which was hard enough to stay awake for, only to not even get it unlocked.
I think I have 1 more of those shrines to destroy first.
That will be tonight as my exhausted *** has to leave for work.

I managed to unlock multi-player this morning, just before I had to leave for work. Wasn't really that hard - more of a tutorial.

My main gripe is that you shouldn't have to unlock multiplayer PERIOD. I can't think of any other game where multiplayer is locked until you complete a portion of the campaign (even if it's just the tutorial part).

What happens if someone picks up the game over the weekend, thinking they can jump straight into playing a match with their friends? What happens if you get a game invite from someone - are you not even allowed to accept an invite if you haven't completed the very first part of the game?

Will this be patched? I don't want to play the campaign until after I have played in Arcade Mode.
