The game refuses to recognise my X360 wired controller. This is important as I have hand issues that prevent me from using mouse/keyboard for even short amounts of time. Any help would be good. Thanks.
If I am slow to reply its because I am off to bed now (01:15 UK).
I watched a video on YouTube on how to use the gamepad on Far Cry Primal. There were links to
x360ce_x64, XOutput.v0.11 and Xbox360_64Eng
Search for the video named "How To Play Far Cry Primal With Joystick/Gamepad Update Fix"
There will be the 3 links you need to download.
However, the settings the guy shows on his video are not working.
You'll need this:

Take the time to watch the video (it's in some foreign language but the guy put some English captions) and you MUST follow the step by step he shows. But when it comes to the time of configuring the controller, just use this map I tested.
And job done!

Hello guys,
Thank you for contacting us.
The list of officially supported controllers is listed in the FAQ here.
Outside of this, as in the case of the 360 controller, there is no official support for other controllers.
As mentioned by some of the other users in the thread, there are some tools which you can use to allow you to use this controller.
Thank you
This is hilarious... in a bad way, because I have an X Box One controller and it recognizes it fine, but all the menu displays are in 360 buttons... and even still it won't recognize my D-Pad. Come on UbiSoft, this game was built with consoles in mind and it won't work with our controllers?! It's 2018!
@Ubi-Holz On that list you linked to it says XInput gamepads are supported, And from my understanding that means any pad that uses microsofts xinput control scheme ie this afterglow pad that I use it works as an official xbox 360 wired pad for pc. And the fact that the pad shows up in game as a non xbox pad also confirms that it should work. But it doesnt. Something is wrong in game.
