I, obviously, missed the 75% sale due to being out of town and now I'm upset.
I really don't feel like spending $180 AUD on a gold edition, also, I can't afford it, when I already have it on PS4. I doubt Ubi would do me a solid and extend the 75% sale for another few days, but yeah.
Title, essentially. Google has not been helpful as I got mixed answers.
Hey PostModernWeeb, you can't upgrade your starter edition to gold edition, but if you purchase the gold edition, you will keep progress.

I apologise for the four-week delay, but I purchased the game (starter edition) and have been playing it every now and then. Sadly, due to being Australian, matchmaking can take upwards of thirty minutes.
I’m a tad confused. You say I can’t upgrade, but if I, let’s say, rebuy the gold edition, my progress will transfer over? If this is the case, is there a valid reason why we can’t transfer console progress to PC like GTA did?
It really does suck losing 44 prestige Nobushi. Actually, that has been why I haven’t really played. I was lulled into buying it on console because, at the time, my PC couldn’t run the game and I thought we’d be able to transfer progress.
Also, thinking about it, PC should be able to play with console players. It’d speed up game queues remarkably.

So your progress would carry over as you are playing on the same platform and all of the data would essentially be the same. This is because it uses the same save file for your unlocks and progression are stored in the same way.
Unfortunately console to PC transfers are not the same or as easy and we currently do not have the ability to support this. I appreciate it's disheartening to need to start again but sadly we can't process console to PC progress at the moment. Maybe this will be something that can happen in the future.

Thank you for the swift response! It’s nice to know I won’t have to start over for a third time! However, it’ll likely be awhile before I can afford to shell out the $150 AUD for the Gold edition.
Anyway, it’s not so much the levels I’m losing, it’s the gear I spent weeks fine-tuning. It’s the emotes, feats, and everything else I spent real money on. I don’t feel like blowing anywhere between $90 - $120 AUD to get back to the same place aesthetically, even if it would help you guys out.
Anyway, you can close this, the question has been answered!![]()
