    Orochi unblockables/mix-ups

    Like others on here I play all characters but some characters lack the newly added agressive meta in their kit. The devs are doing great things to bring this game to a spot it should have been at long ago. With that being said one of the characters that needs attention is the Orochi. Sure he has quick top lights, a good zone, and storm rush but against seasoned players he has no free in like all but 2 characters have and had his top light damage nerfed even though he only gets confirmed top and not side lights like the Shinobi, and shaman. On top of confirmed double lights in all directions the shaman and shinobi have free ins with the unblockable kicks/headbutts so why not Orochi?
    Orochi is a bit simpler to fix then others. The devs can go about this in one of 2 ways:

    1) just add a simple A + X unblockable dash kick much like the Shinobi’s. They could also make it more unique by making it cancelable like the Wardens, Shamans, and High landers. And since they nerfed the top light damage allow the kick to confirm top lights. Tozen, the Orochi from the campaign had an unblockable kick and I didn’t know why a form of it wasn’t added for the Orochi class.

    2) A much more complicated way that would require a lot of testing is to do what others were saying like changing deflects, storm rush, and side lights. I say if not the unblockable kick (or punch, etc.) possibly change the riptide strike ability. Allow it to be cancelable so you’re not stuck in the animation waiting to die, and make it an unblockable that does good damage. Reason behind the damage is due to the fact that it’s a slower unblockable but could be quite effective when used properly. It could create interesting battles.

    Personally I think just adding an unblockable bash/kick of some sort to garuntee free top lights if landed is all that is needed. If anyone read this let me know what you think!

    I agree that the Orochi needs an unblockable opener to make turtles move. Also, his mix-up with the Hurricane Blast hardly gets used and should be applied to other moves to make it less redundant.

    1} Tozen kick
    2) Faster side-lights - same speed as the Aramusha.
    3) Cancelable riptide with the same mix-ups as the Hurricane Blast.
    4) Buff his Guard Break - make it the same level as Warden or Aramusha.

    Thanks for sharing the suggestions for Orochi!

    We definitely understand that Orochi is in need of some changes to bring him up to speed and he'll definitely be getting them. The plan right now is to give each of the original 12 heroes either a rework or major balance changes to bring them in line with the rest of the members of the hero roster. We don't have details we can share yet on who will be next and what will be changing for them, but we'll look to share that information when it becomes available.
