    Lag Comp FTW

    XB1

People that think the game is fine, probably have the lag advantage in this game. I miss timesnap. Oh the days of blocking assassin lights.

I would rather have disconnects with timesnap then this. The quality over the last 5 days has been shat.

You have trouble blocking Assassins' lights? Did you meant to type ''parry''?

400ms lights can be 300ms-500ms without lag compensation. I use to be able to parry lights long ago now I can’t even block sometimes. See the link to Mege’s YouTube video showing actual times after the removal of timesnap. The new servers make it even worse. I’m not sure if people with good internet get the shaft but I feel like I do.

That's a really good video from Mege analysing timesnap's removal. I don't know if the devs ever stated this but I think we actually had some form of lag compensation during the dedicated servers public test, which is why so many of us were so impressed with the dedicated servers during the PTS. There were no discrepencies in attack frames during the open test and the majority of us felt like the game was smooth as silk.

Little did we know that it might have been the combination of dedicated servers plus lag comp/timesnap that meant all attack frames were 99% consistent. It would explain perfectly why the dedicated servers we have now just don't feel as smooth as what we had in the PTS. Lag comp might just be the thing that finally makes this game as smooth as it was during the dedicated servers open test.

Nope, turns out we probably didn't have lag comp on the test servers either. Seems we haven't had any form of lag comp for a very long time in the live or test versions of the game. I guess this means we'll all be parry gods when lag comp does get re-introduced

I have noticed a huge Spike in performance when lag isn't an issue haha

You are probably one of those people that get free GBs that cant be countered. You know something is fishy when that happens. Happened to me yesterday.

Lol no I'm talking about. I can deflect musha's chain depending on latency. I don't understand the idea of free gb unless you get someone dodging
