NPCs in Docks spawn out of thin air right on top of my character

This is unplayable. Cover is useless when enemy NPCs randomly appear around my character. This isn't intended, right?

Sadly in the WSP/Docks it is intended.

As for everywhere else no it's not intended even though since the last maintenance it's happened to me on a few odd occasions.

Unless the maintenance is their opportunity to turn all NPC spawns into something that resembles the WSP ha ha ha or the servers are unstable etc etc etc.

Working as intended and annoying as hell.

The spawning from thin air is working exactly as intended by the people who still haven't balanced the PvP after two years.

The first time I went in there I had a sniper build. That went brilliantly as you can imagine

And is the single biggest reason why I view WSP a complete and utter waste of my time and thumb power.

Just lazy programming / design. Massive didn't think of, or didn't care about the solo player quite honestly. The spawn system would keep a team active and looking around, but it basically just screws solo players. Combine this this fact NPC level (normal - elite) is random and you have a recipe for disaster. You can be in cover taking out a red or hard npc, and an elite LMB shotgunner jumps out of the trashcan behind you and two shots you... Never mind the Elite sniper that spawns 200 meters away... on top of a trash truck... behind you, and kills you before you can spot her. There is no way to asses threats as you have to assume they are all elite, and the spawns just make the game a frantic mess. It completely destroys the concept of a cover shooter. WSP is basically trash content, recycled from resistance. Resistance is more of the same, but the fact that it is condensed helps as you can kind of force the spawns into certain areas sometimes . Most solo players can't get beyond wave 10-12 or so. The hunters at wave 15 are way overtuned for solo players. Again not a problem for a group but 5 hunters with armor is too much for a solo player, you may get one before they one shot melee you in the face.

Pretty much the reason I don't go into WSP anymore, haven't for a few months. They should have added 3-4 landmarks. The appearing out of thin air is just lazy imo.

I like to try to give the Dev Team the benefit of the doubt. However, gameplay in WSP is a sloppy mess than feels like it was built by a player with a level creator.
    Do better Massive.

"feels like it was built by a player with a level creator"?
We could do much better than that. If they gave us a level creator, we'd have a PvE DZ by now
